I highly prefer the scissor type nail trimmers, and these handled the job perfectly. Very sharp and easy to use. They've held up several months now with no signs of wear.

My dogs are small so these clippers work perfect on their nails. The clippers are small enough that I can hide them from my dog’s view so they don’t scatter and hide… I’m too old to go chasing dogs that are hiding under the bed, and it’s not comfortable having to go halfway into the kennel to drag them out. I love the angle of the clippers it makes it easier to see how much I’m trimming. I let my dogs see what I’m doing and we’re finally getting to the point where my fingers are safe when I touch their paws. I bought three pairs…

These are listed as dog nail trimmers, however the actual item and packaging markets these as cat trimmers. That being said, they do work well for my 10 pound mini dachshund. They just barely work on my 20 pound standard dachshund, so if your dog is any bigger than that I'd recommend another brand.

I love how easy these clippers are. I have two small dogs and I was able to clip their nails less than two minutes. No whining or crying didn’t hurt their nails perfect.

Don't be fooled by the low price.These are nice quality and the best dog nail clippers i've ever used. Comfortable handle and sharp cutting edge. Small enough to make them easy to handle and safe for the dog. Highly recommended purchase.

there's no way these can cut dog nails. Package says for cats only even though it says for both on listing. Returned.

It's easy to hold him still and cut the nails at the same time. They are small and easy to hold. They're comfortable and make no alarming noise. Very sharp.

This is definitely the right size for smaller dogs: my two adult dogs are 12-pounds. I hope these become available again. I researched extensively before first purchase (July 2021) and again at time of this review. Nothing else is shaped & sized as well for the job as this nail clipper. I’m looking for a new one because the one I have is still serviceable, but not as sharp as when new. If my dogs were not so skittish and resistant to nail clipping, that wouldn’t matter, so if your dog is calmer and more trusting, it should not be an issue. Because these have worked so well for us, (2 rescues severely abused by previous owners) I would not mind replacing clippers twice a year, particularly at this great price (under $5).
