Podium & Peak Fitness Replacement Cap, Black, One Size

I’ve uploaded my photo of the original top, which is 6-7 years old so I can’t be too mad, haha. Over the years, the original top got bitten, dropped, gnawed,overtightened, you name it... and eventually no longer worked. It’s a $27 bottle so of course replacing the top is a way better deal than buying a whole new bottle. PROS: Waaaaaay more durable, a harder plastic that will never get bitten through even with my teething toddlers, easy to clean, no leaks, works perfectly CONS: Pretty difficult to open (meaning turning from the locked to unlock position; Absolutely not doable by children which could be a plus or minus. Has an extra piece in the mouthpiece which makes it easier to clean but also a tiny piece to lose in the process, tiny baby fingers can now fit all the way inside to hold the membrane open while spilling water everywhere. TLDR: If you aren’t going to let kids anywhere near this thing, it’s perfection! Congratulations on not having small children! If your kids are under maybe 10 and certainly under 5, they can’t operate this on their own and will make a mess. Not meant for kids so that’s on me :-)

Best waterbottle top! You can keep it in the open position and the water does not come out until you squeeze the bottle. Far better than having to pull the top open with your teeth as you are riding. Highly recommend it.

+++Actually possible to clean! The old version (pictured left in the first two images) were a nightmare to clean and required peeling off the rubbery bit with a knife followed by a scrub with a straw brush and prayer. These are wondrously simple, your hands and a dish cloth will do it. I'm not putting mine in the dishwasher to ensure longevity, but for sanitation the option is nice. ++It exists! This was purchased after I split the nozzle on a decade old lid and it's nice to be able to get a replacement instead of throwing the baby out with the bath water. +Fits and seals around the opening as well as the original . +Feels durable. I expect it last as long as the lid it replaced, which was around so long I wasn't mad at it failing. -Nozzle opening is too large for my taste. It's wider than most disposable water bottles and doesn't sip or squirt well. -Auto seal at the nozzle isn't as strong as the old Jet Valve options. On the newer, stiffer bottles this is less of an issue, but on the older, squishier ones I prefer I'm never as confident these won't leak if knocked over with force when not locked out. -Lockout is stiff and harder to manipulate than older versions. I liked being able to open the lockout with my teeth when wearing boxing gloves or I was forced to be one-handed, but that makes me fear a trip to the dentist with this version. All in all, I honestly don't care for it, but it works and I'm glad it exists so I can keep using my old bottle. CamelBak could've easily changed the thread pitch or opening diameter for their newer stuff but left them the same and sell these lids separately so passable replacements are available (note that I don't call them upgrades). This would be a three star review but I have to give them credit for that.

When I saw CamelBak was redesigning their Podium bottles I wanted to check them out. I have multiple Podium’s in different sizes and configurations and I love them all. I first picked up a new bottle with the new lid. It was the 24oz insulated Chill bottle. The old 25oz Chill is my go-to bottle. I found the new bottles harder to squeeze because of the redesign which makes them fit in cages easier. So overall I didn’t necessarily like that- but it wasn’t the end of the world. But then I noticed the new lids were backwards compatible with the old bottles— and the new lids are SHORTER than the old ones because part of the spout is inset inside the cap. That’s when I had my EUREEKA moment. And I immediately purchased 4 of these new lids. My old 25oz chill is JUUUUST too tall to fit in my seat tube cage because of how tall the old spout was. I’m a short guy and ride a short bike. So I had to step down to the 21oz old chill to fit in that cage. BUT NOT NOW! I can now carry 2 insulated 25oz Chill bottles with me. SWEET. Overall the new bottles aren’t necessarily any worse, just different. And you do lose an ounce on the big size chill. Same goes for these new lids. They can be taken more apart than the old ones so cleaning should be easier and better. They are more compact which is great if you need the space. But at the end of the day they are mostly the same Podium spouts we love. TL;DR— old bottles + new lids is the way to go!

El producto es original y es de excelente calidad. Te ayuda a salvar tu botella cuando por un accidente te quedas sin la tapa. Sólo hubiera perfecto si tuvieran varios colores de tapa disponibles.

Minha Garrafa Podium Big Chill (infelizmente não vendida mais - 25oz / 750ml), tinha a tampa do modelo antigo, fiquem em dúvida se essa nova tampa mais moderna serviria. Para minha alegria chegou a tampa nova e coube certinho na minha garrafa. Estou Muito satisfeito. Recomento este produto, pois é de excelente qualidade.
