Does it has an air switch?

It is set up for an air switch, but the motor/pump did not arrive with it.

1. Ok im replacing a pump from a used spa bathtub i bought and the pump i ordered humms but no jets work i see some people say it needs a timer?

I replaced my original pump and this pretty much worked right out of the box. I am not 100% clear on what the timer is.

I have an American standard 752444-300 whirl pool pump which has been discontinued, will this replace it.
