Really good build quality and VERY effective for thick hair and coats. These and other Wahl pet clippers greatly outperform and outlast all of the other brands, especially more expensive brands of pet clippers. Not going to lie, I use them on my head because they are almost impossible to bog down or overload with hair, unlike MANY other brands. Wahl has always made long lasting and very sharp trimmers that are engineered to work hard and last a really long time doing so. Unlike many products that are made to be quickly thrown away and replaced, Wahl makes their clippers so that you know you aren't going to have to buy them again for a very long time. Wahl takes pride in how well made their clippers are made WITHOUT needing to charge an arm and a leg for it.

I bought some knock off brand dog clippers with lots of positive reviews BUT it could not cut through my puppies fur and kept getting snagged. I should have known to stick with a good name brand like WAHL. These work great. no snags or pulling of fur. Cuts great. Now if I can just get my dog to sit still like the videos on youtube :)

I bought this in the winter of 2022. It lasted about 2 years before the blade became dull. I used it about every 6-8 weeks - approximately 12 - 14 haircuts. While it was sharp, I liked using it; it cut well. It was a little too loud to use on my toy poodle's head, but it was quiet enough for her to use on her back, shoulders, and sides. It was a good size: easy to hold and use. Charged well. Decent price - especially since I didn't want to pay to take her to a professional every couple of months. I wish I could buy replacement blades for it because it wasn't even close to worn out, but it isn't made to use replacement blades. When I removed the blade to see if it had stopped cutting because of hair build up behind it, the blade didn't fit back on right, and so it was louder than usual and still didn't cut her hair. I learned to cut my toy poodle's hair using it. And I definitely don't do a professional job. So I don't know how a professional would rate it. Basically, it got the job done and was a decent product, but it wasn't anything fancy or of excellent or long-lasting quality.

I bought this May 2021 to shave fur between pets pads and occasionally a fanny trim. It is running as good as the day I bought it and is as quiet as clippers can be. I have a corgi and a Maine coon cat and neither of them freak out I would buy this model again if ever needed.

I’ve had wall savers before but this one is just cheap really cheap I am a former dog groomer and my old one that I had was a lot more professional than this one it comes with plastic clip ons and part of the problem is the part where the blade is is too short and where the clippers clip onto the blade all the hair in the fur gets watered up and stuck in there and they barely will cut anything If you have a small dog that already has somewhat short hair and you’re just literally touching up tiny tiny little pieces of fur then it would be OK or to maybe do a sanitary cut then it is it appropriate and works great as long as you don’t have to use the clip bonds but if you have to use the clip Ons it’s terrible I have a husky I’m trying to groom professionally at home because all my mobile groomers either I can’t get an appointment and because they’re booked out for a year or because they’re retiring or they suck so I will be replacing this clipper for my husky I will just have to try and break down and buy an expensive professional one.

After two haircuts, it seems like a wonderful product that will require regular maintenance that does not include water like the images on the product page. Even though when you search for warranty here on the product page and the Alexa result is five years, the actual warranty is one year in the manual included with the product and also in the PDF. I had trouble figuring out how to remove the blades until I watched the video on the Wahl website, and taking a look at the other reviews I see other people had the same problem, so I made a video on how to do it. It’s very easy once you know how. I recommend getting an extra set of blades to keep on hand, and I’m waiting for Wahl to answer my email on which one is the replacement because this model number is not listed on their website, and I can’t find the model number of the replacement blades in the product information here or in the manual included with the product.

It's been nearly a year since I purchased this clipper set for my poodle but didn't use it on him until spring when I could do it outside. I cut his hair every 4-5 weeks. The trimmer worked fine the first two times I used it...on the third time the trimmer head started popping off as soon as I started working on him. I ended up cutting his hair with scissors, which I have been doing all summer. I have tried several times since just to see if it was something I was missing; trying different tools, more oil, brushing him more before starting, bathing first, etc. Nothing worked! It wouldn't trim his hair at all, just catch in his curls and flip off. While plucking his ears today thought I'd see if it would at least trim the shorter hair on his face that I cut just 2 weeks ago. Came right off, and so noisy it scares him. My son took a closer look at it and discovered that pieces inside the plastic where the head fits in are broken off; thus, it is basically useless and ready for the garbage. Poorly made and will definitely not work long-term on a dog with very curly hair such as a poodle. Absolutely disgusted with the money I wasted on this item!

I’ve used this for over a year on my Labradoodle, through all four seasons, but especially when the weather turns warmer and his winter coat is too long and thick. This is the second late Spring clipping his coat, and it’s terrific. Multiple guides with different cutting heights, great battery life. This complete kit comes with clearly-written, printed directions and links to helpful videos. It is a good idea to read the instructions first for ensuring maximum life of this tool and a good experience cutting your dog’s hair/fur. Noise is moderate; my old dog did not get upset over the buzzing, and now looks better and is cooler. Overall, I am very pleased, am impressed with Wahl’s quality and highly recommend this clipper kit - at a fraction of the cost of a grooming session.

I don’t understand why there is so many bad reviews about this clipper. I bought a different one off Amazon which the battery died within 10 minutes and needed a charge, and the clipper wasn’t sharp. I thought I’d give this one a go. IT’S GREAT. I have a groodle and use it to trim between his paws, and his fur around his face, tummy and bottom. My only complaint would be that I’m looking for longer guide combs as I want one that’s 25mm for his main coat.

We have been using this cordless clipper for 20 years. They last about 3 years. We have always had 2 bichon shitzu's. They get clipped every 3 months. They work perfectl , nothing bad to say about Wahl brand.

Good quality
