Highly visible fluorescent yellow dye. My issue is that I had to actually get in the pool to check around the bottom of the liner. Of course, being in the pool disturbs the water when trying to use the product to spot a leak. I understand how this product would be great if you’re not in the water creating motion, but not realistic for checking the bottom of the liner.

useless ...the dye dissipates way too quick. ...product instructions suggests running a ribbon a few inches from the leak. If I knew that could find it without dye. ...was hoping for a stronger formula that would last 30 minutes at least. ...it would then show a direction

Works well. I saw some reviews saying it disperses too much, but that wasn't my experience at all. In fact I found that you can create a very intact thin 'worm' of dye if you dispense it in a very gentle way, moving the tip of the dispenser slowly back through the water as you go. But you don't actually need to do that - even just a little squirt that spread out a bit was enough to show that water was clearly moving towards one of my pool inlets, strongly indicating the likely source of my leak.
