This screen is heavy duty and very well built.

Have ordered other screens and all had safety issues. This one is terrific and I can relax knowing this completely covers the fireplace opening tho I would never leave a fire unattended.

The first screen came in a box and was terribly damaged. The screen was out of the frame in multiple areas. I returned it. The replacement screen I ordered was not packaged at all - just the screen with stickers stuck on it. Amazingly, this screen arrived in perfect shape. It fits my fireplace perfectly and I’m glad I tried again. If you get a defective screen, call customer service and they will send a message to the shippers not to send you a faulty product again. They can also have UPS come with a return label and pick up your return. As I said, I’m really happy with the replacement. Thank you Amazon.

It was bent enough that I had to use a hammer and vice to get it back in some sort of shape to use as a spark guard. The size was perfect for our prefab fireplace and I'm sure it will do the trick of protecting the floor from flying embers.

We ordered this, it arrived bent and with the handles installed crooked. Thinking it was a one off issue, especially because there was no bubble wrap or protection in the box, we ordered a replacement. But the second arrived bent with paint chips and handles installed crooked. It looked ridiculous leaning sideways, not aligned with fireplace, and it sticks out with a space at the top away from the wall/fireplace. So in the end we gave up and sent it back
