I had a very low folate level and my Dr actually recommended this brand since the prescription was so expensive. It has worked and my levels are almost normal after a few months. Talk to your Dr before using as with all suppliments. I've had no side effects and it has no flavor.

My pcp doctor recommended this medicine to me for health reasons. I never would’ve called myself a depressed person. Not even down sometimes. Just regular. I've taken vitamins nearly all my life -- I remember taking children's vitamins as early as age 6 and I'm currently in my sixth decade. When it comes to health I listen to my son's advice as he's always been very health conscious. He asked me what kind of vitamins I took (as he's never known a time when I didn't) and I told him I'd recently changed over to a brand made here in the USA. I sent him a copy of the label and the next time we talked he said he was really happy to see that I was taking methylated vitamins as they are better absorbed by our bodies - hence, serving the purpose for which we take them.
