Keep time
Great season quality on the down side the clip does not fit the head of my bass. I found it clips onto my music stand ok.

Solid performer, works well for cadence matching when running
Slightly bigger/heavier than I was expecting, and the only reason this is an issue is I'm using it for running, not for music. I clip this to the top of my running vest and the metronome to build my cadence up. I like the mechanical volume controller so I can trim the volume easily on the run as the background noise of traffic increases / falls away. There are a range of metronome sounds, so I've chosen a fairly innocuous one as some people seem to find it a bit odd hearing a runner beeping as they run past them. Battery life is good, so far I've used it for a number of months and not changed the battery. Does everything I expected, if it was slightly smaller / lighter it would have been 5 stars for me, but if your using it in a static environment it would be perfect.

Small and light
Love it. Small, lightweight, clips on firmly and I find it sits well in the palm of my hand. Already doing faster times. Wish I got it before.

A great metronome for running cadence
I bought this for maintaining a specific cadence when running, and it has worked well. Due to the fact that I run with it in my hand, I can't comment on the clip but it feels sturdy enough. The range of 'click' options is way more than I need, but impressive all the same, and the thumb-wheel volume control on the side makes it easy to adjust for different traffic (or absence of traffic) conditions. If you're looking for a metronome to take out running, this gets my vote.

Works but this is not what you want
The "one" tone is higher pitched and quieter that the "two", "three", "four" etc. tone. This makes it all too easy to miss the "one" and lose track of the count. Tracking the count is the whole point of having a metronome! I have kept it because it makes a useful clock that clips to the top of my music stand and I'm kidding myself that I could use it in an emergency. Don't get the Boss one either, it works great but it's too fragile and doesn't survive. Given the price of it, that's not good enough. I have settled for the Korg MA-1 Metronome which works great for me.

Breaks. Not fit for purpose.
Bought this last year & after battery died (which I changed it never worked again). Bought a replacement last month & it broke almost instantly. Amazon don't offer to collect items like these (even though it is faulty & only offer the choice of selecting a dropoff location that I'll now have to drive to which is very inconvenient. So if you want a device that will break & then be a load of hassle to replace, buy this.

Great Metronome for Runners
Seiko Metronome DM51BI purchased this model because it was recommended in a Chi running program. I purchased it in November 2018, use it an average of three times a week for thirty minutes to over two hours at a time and am still using the original battery. The biggest difference it has made for me is that I no longer have lower back pain after I run.The item is easy to set up and use (clock, beat and tempo). Your settings (volume/beat/tempo) remain the same until you change them. The item is small, sturdy and well-built. It has a clip that holds it securely to a waistband or the back of a running hat. It measures approximately 5.5 cm x 3.5 x 1 cm (deep) not including the clip. The chirping sound is very distinct and easy to hear. Using the volume dial you can adjust it to suit your needs from mute to VERY LOUD. When on a trail I turn it down to a whisper and louder when competing with traffic noise. The volume can be adjusted while running but can be a little tricky if you’re wearing gloves. You do not have a choice of the type of sound made; you are limited to chirping (and an occasional beep, see tempo below). Some have found the chirping sound annoying and that’s an individual call. I want something that I can easily hear and this works for me.The tempo function determines the number of beats per minute/steps per minute (spm) for runners at which you want to run. Using the up/down buttons will increase/decrease the number of spm. SPM can be adjusted while running. The beat function determines how the spm selected will be sounded out. You will hear a chirp for each left and each right foot strike. You can adjust the beat so that every second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh beat (foot strike) is a beep instead of a chirp. Having every third beat being a beep instead of a chirp is perfect for running (chirp, chirp, beep, chirp, chirp beep etc.). Unfortunately the beep is not as loud or distinct as the chirps and can be a little hard to hear in heavy traffic. Changing the beat selection can also be done while running.I am glad I made the purchase and have not been disappointed after months of use.

Trop petit je regrette cet achat.
Vraiment trop petit, je ne recommande pas ce produit. Je n'ai pas suffisamment lu les caractéristiques de ce produit et notamment ses dimensions.

Easy to use
Keeps me distracted from my breathing & how hard I’m working by focussing on form & the steps to the beep. Have improved my running already.
