Fast and works
Works great, but ya need some muscle. A strong core to keep it stabilized. But if ya do then it works great. Alosnya gotta get a good technique. You cant just muscle it hc thats how people break em. But if you got the technique down it works perfect and is really fast.

Very tough and works great
I have bottled many many beers with this model and it is still going strong. I had concerns about the plastic arms, but everything is still sturdy and seems to be ready for the years to come. The magnet in the top makes it easy to toss onto a bottle without fearing you will knock off the cap. I do think it's possible to pull too hard and snap the neck of the bottle based on the design, but this is just a theory based on how the unit works (squeezing the sides of the cap tight, not pushing down like a tabletop style would). I shopped around and this one was highly recommended and good price. After maybe 75 batches of brew over the years, I would give it a perfect score. One of the few things I bought in the beginning stage of the hobby that I actually still use and have no intention to upgrade.

Works well if used properly
I used this for capping about 40 bottles. It was simple to use and I didn't have any failures. I could see how someone could break it if they put too much pressure on it after the cap is secure. You can easily feel the action for where to stop. There's some initial resistance when pushing down the arms, then the resistance lessens and the arms go roughly horizontal. At that point the cap is secure and no additional pressure is needed. Some have also suggested the magnet is too weak. I disagree with that. If the magnet were too strong, I'd be worried about lifting or tipping over the bottle at the end when removing the capper. It's just strong enough to keep the cap from sliding off at the beginning of the process.

⚠️ Beware: Incorrect Bell Size Shipped ⚠️
I ordered this capper months ago, only to discover a critical issue when I finally went to bottle my batch. Despite my bottles and caps being the standard 26mm size (as indicated on my order and the capper's packaging), the caps would not seal correctly. The edges remained flared, and a light touch or the bottle's weight would cause them to fly off immediately. Unfortunately, it seems this capper was equipped with the incorrect sealing bell, likely the larger 29mm (European) size instead of the ordered 26mm. A previous two-star review I found mentioned this same issue. Do yourself a favor: choose a different brand, or at the very least, test this capper immediately upon arrival so you can return it if you've been sent the wrong size. Otherwise the build quality is robust, withstanding our strenuous efforts to seal the bottles. In the end I had to run to the grocery store and bottle the batch in plastic soda bottles.

Works great - but only for long neck bottles!
Great bottle capper but ONLY for long neck bottles. I was bottling some hard cider into stubby 9oz bottles and wasted a ton of caps as it was almost impossible to seal caps onto this type of bottle so I thought I had a defective item. For multiple reasons I ended up rebottling into long neck 12 oz bottles and found this worked perfectly every time! Not defective - just not for all bottle types....

Works exactly as you'd hope - great performance at a value price!
I've been using the Monster Brew Home Brewing Gold equipment kit here on Amazon for about 3 years now and have been happy with the product and reliability of most of the equipment it includes. An exception to this happened to be the bottle capper they included. Since day 1, i was never very happy with the black handled capper - always using it with caution and feeling that it took more effort then it should. Well this Red Barron capper has helped prove my point - it's MUCH easier to use and does a great job on the various bottles I've reused. I've always found the previous black capper would easily break some of the thinner walled bottles - where as this one capped them without any effort or breakage. And at this price? It's a no brainer... if you're a homebrewer that still bottles, this is a great choice for this style of capper.

Caps perfectly, easily
Tried this for the first time yesterday. We've been experimenting with home brewing using the Mr. Beer kit. That kit comes with plastic bottles which are large and we're not fond of drinking out of plastic. We had plenty of bottles in recycling, so we washed them up & used this device to cap them with these: Beer Bottle Crown Caps - Oxygen Absorbing for Homebrew (Cold Activated) I read some of the instructions, but it's super easy to use, just needs a little elbow grease.I put the bottle cap under the magnet, lined it up on the bottle, then pulled the handles down. You'll feel it start to clamp the cap in place, then just keep pressing the handles down until it's sealed. That's about the most difficult part of it, just ensuring that you've pressed it down all the way. We got the cap on perfectly the first try and it was easy enough to bottle 22 bottles of beer without destroying anything. This is a great product, exactly what I wanted and needed.

Cheaper Plastic
Works well, handles feel pretty cheap and flex when in use. We will see how well this lasts into the future with how much bend it is giving me while new.
