Do you pull.out the red plastic off the bait? In the pre baited boxes.

The only red plastic I saw was the opening key, that is not used until you need to check the baiters for mouse activities. I would not mess with the bait inside, and if touching it, i always use thick gloves. Hope this helps

The mice don’t spit the bait out and I’ve never found a dead mouse just lying on the floor. Put the bait where the pets can’t easily access and chew it, though, perhaps under an appliance where mice can go but pets can’t.

Can dogs and cat die if they eat the mice
