Similar info can be found in the notes Lucas recorded together with Carol Titelman in July/August 1977 to start a knowledge database for the planned sequels.

It is sturdy enough to endure my 3 month old cat. I played around my house with the completed ship, but as a 35 year old kid, i rarely test the limits of my lego sets. Few accidents in my living room where the millenium falcon sits on the coffee table proved that even if the model gets damaged (chunk of pieces fall apart steady enough), it's easy to repair fast.

is all lego pieces intact for this item?

If there are missing pieces, the back of the instructions lists all pieces by part number so you can order exactly what you don't have. I'm not 100% sure, but I think Lego doesn't charge you to order missing pieces.

It is about 18"-24" in diameter. It took me and my 10 year old a little over 5 hours to build it. It is Awesome once put together and the top opens up exposing the inside to allow for loads of role play time.
