Mains Electric
I bought these for my string solar lights and was puzzled why all 50 bulbs (2 packs didn’t work) my brother (an electrician) pointed out they were MAINS electric - eg 230/240 v (high voltage) and not 3v-5v (low voltage) that I needed!!!! Wow I would never have fathomed that out as on closer inspection my original lights box said low voltage and the new bulbs said AC230v - neither of which meant anything to me! As I also have 2 sets of mains lights these will fit it isn’t an issue! Great comms with the supplier and have suggested they use wording like MAINS ELECTRIC or SOLAR POWERED to distinguish the difference. I note a previous purchaser had the same issue without realising what the problem was and gave these bulbs 1 star- I am giving 5 star as comms excellent, bulbs well packaged and work perfectly in MAINS ELECTRIC string lights!!!! Now I know that Amazon searches are not very good eg I searched for G40 solar bulbs and STILL got mains electric ones coming up. Hope this review helps others with the same issue
