The AD530 is a moderate level tester that answers all your existing code questions. It does not communicate with the car but it does diagnose what codes you have, as well as let you know how well your battery is charging while running. THis is a must for anyone who doesn’t want to get ripped off at the mechanic. Not all check engine lights mean you need expensive repairs, so get this scanner and keep it in your car.

Great value and quality built (so far) Manual that is included is small and vague and not very useful but I went online and you can download and print if you want a very good user manual that explains operations much clearer and there you can check and update your software version if needed but this one already had the updated version I like the rubberized cover nice and compact and the display is okay but could be a little bigger There is a bit of a learning curve but the online downloadable website manual helped tremendously I emailed customer service with a question and received a reply in under 24 hours that is impressive I’ve never used one of these before but right now it seems to be a very good product and I’d recommend it

I worked professionally performing car diagnostics for a little while, so I guess you could say my expectations were really high to begin with. I don't have any complaints and so far I've used it for three different vehicles (two Fords and a Toyota). It's intuitive if you have some experience with diagnostics, but the instructions are very brief, so if you get this, you might want someone a little more knowledgeable to help you navigate it. I didn't compare it to any other tools at the same time, but it did read an engine code on one vehicle that I was expecting, along with showing ignition count since last DTC on another vehicle, and that number was about what I expected Functionality wise, it's great; it reads DTCs pretty quick, and if there is a code, gives a short description of the issue. Also shows Live Data, which can be a great resource if you're troubleshooting something that doesn't throw a code (like why your AC isn't as cold as it should be). Only reason for not doing 5/5 stars is because I'm used to advanced diagnostics and this device made me feel very limited (for personal use, I think this device is perfectly fine).

Very easy to use and will clear the codes. The auto parts stores are not allowed to clear codes in some states so this is very handy once you have corrected the error code problem.

well they send a pamphlet on operating the tool which isn't much but I haven't hooked it up to my truck yet so I will take for granted that the screens for diagnosis will be more informative. It is just a basic scan tool to read codes and maybe reset your system instead of unhooking the battery which is what I usually do so it is at least worth that much and to see what the code amounts to and I am just a regular individual and not a shop so I am not doing any in depth diagnosis either.

Ich bin absolut beeindruckt vom ANCEL AD530 OBD2 Diagnosegerät! Dieses Gerät bietet alles, was man sich von einem KFZ-Auslesegerät wünschen kann. Die vollen OBD2-Funktionen ermöglichen es, eine breite Palette an Diagnosen durchzuführen, was mir hilft, mögliche Probleme mit meinem Auto schnell und effizient zu identifizieren. Der 2,8 Zoll TFT Farbbildschirm ist klar und gut lesbar, was die Bedienung sehr angenehm macht.
