EmgoBlack Cafe Muffler 19&Prime, Long 80-84033

First thing to say is that these things are loud. I installed them on my Moto Guzzi V7 Stone and it now sounds like monster. My stock pipes were really quite so it has taken a few rides to get used to them. Install was easy with provided brass adapters. I didn't have to make any modifications to my bike to install them. I do wish however that the baffles could be replaced to quite them down just a little.

Great price, really easy to install. I put these on an '81 Honda CM400C. I left the collection chamber, which meant I needed a little piece of exhaust pipe to connect the female chamber outlet to the female pipe inlet. I picked some up at a local car exhaust shop. The reducers ended up not being the best fit for the pipe or packing that I had (it was a bit of a MacGuyver scramble to get this thing assembled, though entirely my own doing) so I actually wrapped exhaust tape to make the fitment between pipe and exhaust inlet work. They sound so much meaner than the stock pipes (obviously) but not so loud that I feel bad for my neighbors when I start up in the morning to go to work. There wasn't a huge difference in performance, but I also didn't have to re-jet. Solid, easy product.

So far this looks pretty cool on my bike and I do enjoy it although it doesnt have that mean sound of course maybe because I'm in the riders seat

Note: I purchased the chrome version, but performance and characteristics of the black version should be identical. These mufflers are a straight-through design. Internally, it is essentially a straight pipe, with a perforated outer diameter (I assume wrapped in fiberglass). The inner diameter is approximately 1 5/8". If you want a muffler that truly presents no restriction whatsoever, then this may be your best choice. They are stylish like a norton peashooter muffler, albeit shorter. They may require some carb tuning and jetting changes, at least I had to. They are loud; but its not unbearable or harsh sounding like a straight pipe. I will definitely consider these again, on future bikes that I obtain.
