SAB602-05 Full View Dial Scale

The scale arrived undamaged, well packaged, and on time. I was a bit worried that this lower-cost scale would give inconsistent results. But, that doesn't happen. Instead, this scale gives consistent results time after time, down to the fraction of a pound. I step on, shift my weight from foot to foot to get it to "settle" on a reading, and it gives the same reading minutes later. I usually weigh myself twice to test the scale when I weigh myself. This scale consistently gives the same reading minutes apart. I'm on a calorie-restricted diet, so my weight does fluctuate a bit from day to day, but I believe that because the two readings taken a few minutes apart are the same every day that I weigh myself. I am very pleased with this product.

Love this scale. Easy to read, very accurate. I was able to stand on it and hold my dog to weigh him (glad he's small - haha) and with finally having a scale in the house, I've managed to be aware of my weight and have lost 8 pounds! YEAH! Seriously, it is very good and accurate - reads the same as the doctor's office scale which is what I wanted. Great quality, big enough for a big person to stand on (although I think the limit is 300 lbs) and read easily while standing on it.

This scale will read your weight and nothing more but okay with me. This was a lighter weight scale than I expected but okay with me. It can slide on the tiles getting on or off if you're the clumsy type and it advises not to use it on carpeting. There is an easily accessible button dial to adjust the pointer to zero before using. I cannot attest to its accuracy as I have not been weighed anywhere else (not counting the digital scale I returned due to never getting the same weight twice in a row). I did receive the exact same readings on this one after repeat weigh-ins. I am a runt, but it looks like there is plenty of foot space for larger people. The dial was easy enough to read with my glasses on. Sunbeam was a well-trusted brand name in the past. Things change, but I'm hopeful that the quality chugs on. The price was very reasonable by comparison to others.

The scale contains a useful zeroing knob on the bottom, which allows you to calibrate the scale to zero pounds before use. However, when I used known weights to check the scale's accuracy, I found that the scale read 2-3 lbs for a 5 lb object. That said, it seems to work okay for heavy things such as people. If you are using the scale to monitor your own weight, I think you can count on it to measure your weight within five pounds. Not as accurate as I would like, because I'd like to know my weight to the nearest pound. I thought the advertised accuracy was a little misleading. If you are tall (I am over six feet) the scale can become somewhat difficult to read--you'll know the general range of your weight, but when you bend down to try and figure out what it is to the nearest pound, the needle jumps around like crazy. So, if you want a general purpose scale, for the cheapest price possible, and aren't worried about misreading your weight by a few pounds, then this scale is for you. If you're looking for something accurate to the nearest pound, or half pound, then look elsewhere.

I'm happy with this little scale! I've checked it against the doctor's office scale several times and found that it gives accurate and consistent readings. I get the most accurate weight if I make sure to place my feet squarely on the scale, meaning that the outer edge of my feet runs parallel to the outer edge of the scale. If my heels are shifted in a bit, then the scale shows a lower weight, about a pound or two less. It also needs to be placed on a hard, level surface. As others have said, the the dial is small and hard to see the "exact" weight. (If I wanted more precision, I suppose I could have my kids kneel on the floor and look closely at the dial for me!) Also, the lights from our bathroom create a shadow in the dial area, so I find that shining a small flashlight directly down to the face of the dial removes the shadow (and doesn't add too much weight!).

I purchased 2 of these scales from Amazon; both were defective. I had my doubts that an analog scale that cost $38 could be accurate (they were not), but since they get great reviews I thought I would try one. The first one was obviously defective. When I set it to zero, stepped on and off, it would never reset to zero. I did this several times. It also showed a different weight everytime I stepped on (same clothes/shoes on) and was WAY OFF. I had previosly used an expensive scale at my gym in the morning and when I got home weighed myself wearing the exact same clothes and shoes that I had on at the gym. When I used this Sunbeam scale, I weighed anywhere from 15-20 lbs. lighter than I did at the gym an hour before (WOW, what a work-out I had!). And even then, it was not consistent; I'd step on then off, then back on and it read differently each time!. So, I requested an exchange for another scale. It arrived two days ago and I have used it several times. The spring which controls the dial on this scale does not seem to be broken like the last one. However, it is way off! I again used the scale at my gym, AND a digital scale I have in another bathroom. This (2nd, replacement Sunbeam analog scale) showed my weight to be 20# less than the other 2 scales, again wearing the exact same clothing and shoes. This one is again going back, and I will not purchase another one. My opinion is that this is a CHEAP scale and the components used to manufacture it are not reliable. What a waste of my time ........

The wife hates it but I love it..... if you are annoyed by digital scales like me.... you'll probably like this. The extra capacity allows me to weigh things by holding them.... like my dog who won't sit still.

Me gusto mucho, buen tamaño y números grandes. Lo único es que la numeración mayor es en libras y no kilos.

Muy buen precio y fácil de calibrar (Solo que no me percate que era en libras)
