This spray really works
This is the only deterrent spray that works with my dogs. My dogs actually like to lick other sprays but this one does what it says and deters them from things they should leave alone. I've used these on their paws to keep them from licking, on furniture, on walls and carpet, and even use it on their collar to keep my puppy from playing tug-of-war with the other dog's collars. It sprays easily and it's easy to aim. Well worth the money.

Must have for puppies
Must have for new puppy parents. We usually get this brand for our new dogs and just a few days is enough for them to learn what not to chew on. We have tried other brands and they donโt work as well. Safe and effective to teach a puppy what isnโt theirs. Even works on shoes!

Didn't Work
Giving a 4 star, just because I am unsure if this product doesn't work or if I just have a demon of a cat, I'm going to assume the latter. He chews on everything and this didn't deter him, not even a little bit. Ff anything he probably enjoyed it. This cat is a menace as he refuses to let us keep a phone charging cord in the living room without absolutely annihilating it in the middle of the night. So didn't work for my cat, oh well, hope it works for others.

Management Took Action!
I thought my cat would outgrow this incessant need to chew on shtuff. Nope...3yrs old going on 9 months. Maisie (aka Karen), incessantly complains about her dissatisfaction with almost everything. Many attempts to rectify her complaints result in continued dissatisfaction and a constant demand to speak with management (me - not the other human in the house *sigh*). When she doesn't get her way, she gets angry and starts to chew on many things (such as a brand new daybed I bought, new blankets, etc). "Do a lot other Kare--cats do this?", I've pondered, considering my previous meow did not behave in such a manner. Management has gone above and beyond to try to rectify these "issues" that have been brought forth, but, to not avail. Afterall, the manager can only do and take so much. Upper management had even stated the need to resign to the fact that one can't have nice things and/or accept that anything bought that is nice, will not stay nice for a long time. (A friendly statement- she gets PLENTY of playtime, snuggles and food! She's just a very demanding, needs to be the center of attention devon rex breed kitty). With all that being said, this manager was not willing to resign just yet and knew in past experiences with others, (albeit different circumstances), this did help curb their incessant need to chew! There was hope! So it was decided to give this product, yet, another shot. And low and behold, this became gold to management. There is no longer any chewing on the velvety daybed nor any other nice things! And although the incessant complaints from Kar--Maisie haven't ceased, the destructive behavior has! Thus, this liquid gold has been a huge success and the managers sanity has been restored...for now! If it wasn't for this gold, who knows what would have happened to management! 100% recommend this product! It saves (human) lives. Just make sure to wash your hands after spraying it or you will also suffer from the bitter taste. It has been weeks since I sprayed it and there has been no damage to anything from the product (or any teeth marks). There is no smell. It works so my beautifully, adorable little monster doesn't continue to eat things that aren't meant to be eaten. A little bitter taste to dissuade eating non-edible things is better than something bad happening to my precious lil monster and having to rush her to the ER for surgery or something even worse! It might work for some pets, it might not. But, its worth a try in my opinion! (Additionally, I've had both cats and dogs - one was a 75lb pitbull and another was a chug and it worked on both of them. Especially when my pitty was a puppy... she no longer chewed up the baseboards, the couch sides, etc). ... Just try it!... Seriously, just try it!

My Cat LOVES the Taste... Use 100hu Cayenne Pepper with Food Grade Grease Instead
My cat actually loves the taste of this Bitter Apple / No Chew garbage, made my problem WORSE. The order is obnoxious to me, makes me physically sick, and I certainly don't share my cat's enjoyment of tasting the stuff... which will by all means end up on your fingers too and last for days. Instead, buy "Food Grade Grease", this is non-toxic, non-petroleum, grease to lubricate things line food appliance o-rings and mix that with Cayenne Pepper... preferably with the most amount of Scoville Heat Units (SHU) you can get. The Cayenne Pepper from the grocery store is typically around 20,000 SHU and I was able to get 100,000 SHU from Amazon. The smell alone burns and unlike the tests I did with red pepper flakes or store bought Cayenne Pepper, my cat won't get within 4in of the stuff. It won't mix completely because the grease is like silicone grease, but that isn't important. The grease is just to have the Cayenne Pepper stick to any surface that is not porous, like rubber or plastic; which is what my cat loves to chew on. Because it isn't petroleum base, it won't eat the rubber or plastic after a while, and because it is grease it will never dry up. I used a Q-Tip, a small plastic disposable 1oz container (for sauces, or pizza red chili, or pizza parmesan that you get) and just smear it on whatever you don't want the cat to check. Good luck, don't let the cats win!

Stopped my kitten from attacking headset cord
My kitten loves to attack the cord on my headset. So I sprayed a little on a cotton pad and pulled the cord through it. From then on, when she tried to bite the cord, she would put it in her mouth, spit it back out, and look very confused. I have only re-applied it a couple of times and she no longer bothers with the cord. She likes to grab it but it won't go in her mouth. I haven't needed to use it for anything else, but for this use, it worked perfectly.

So far so good
We got a dog who likes to chew on cords. Even though we did our best to keep cords away from her, we bought this to keep her away from the ones we couldn't hide. Her first interaction, she smelled it flinched, and walked away. Second interaction, she tried to nibble on on the cord even though before she didn't like the smell but flinched again at the taste. Then, she kept smacking her tongue and making faces and left it alone after that.
