pure silver does not tarnish like sterling silver, it has no other alloys mixed in. Miner changes will happen as the silver is exposed to the air or weather.

Is there a difference between Troy ounce and regular ounce?

Thank you for your question. Yes, a troy ounce is different then a ounce you use to weight other none metal objects like people. People for example are weighted on a the avoirdupois weight measurement scale and metals are done on Troy weight measurement scale.
