Like most people I have reached the age when I had trouble reading menus or even reading my emails on my mobile or laptop. I went through several cheap reading classes and they broke or were too heavy to take around. Then I came across the ThinOptics producs which were recommended by an American friend and I have not gone to other reading glasses since. These are very light indeed. And very thin. Being made of plastic they do break after a while, especially in the way that I punish them by sitting on them inadvertently. The only concern has been the price which on the ThinOptics Web site adds to international shipping and I thought it came too expensive. But purchasing them through Amazon this is a much better deal - even though not "cheap", it is much more in line with the price I am ready to pay for a product that is so useful and convenient. What I like most is how light they are, so I can carry it everywhere and it does not weigh in on my nose.

Love, love love these. Have prescription reading glasses, but now these were not always strong enough for reading fine text (on packaging etc). Carrying these around 'just incase' was also a pain. But these thinoptics are so easy just to slip in a pocket. More expensive than bog standard overreaders, but so much more practical for occasional use when out and about, and still alot cheaper than prescription glasses. Ultra light and well made. Only slight grip is if you drop the case it does protect the glasses but it can cause the case to come unglued. Case still works but the one face is now a little lose. Love that they haave no nose pieces (don't need them) but bear in mind the ends of the arms for over the ears are not as secure as with standard glasses. Will absolutely buy another (stronger) pair when needed....

I liked the thinness, the fact that it's lightweight and very functional, you can just slip into a top pocket and it doesn't bulge through your shirt. Very discreet. Nice build quality too.

Got these in red. Had looked at the images, but it wasn't until they arrived today, that I was able to fully appreciate the thinness of these specs for myself. And in the case, they are actually less than 5mm thick. Be sure to look at all of the product images carefully. They really are as shown. I have a small face and generally find only certain opticians brands fit. But these seem to fit me fine, not too big & super lightweight. Worth mentioning that they don't have a normal style bridge, so don't have either pads on wire or thickened plastic pads, but they still seem comfy. They even seem to sit straight on my wonky ears. And I have not experienced any vision issues with the lenses, they seem to work fine in 1.5. The only thing I wish they didn't have is the blue light block, as this gives the lenses a slight yellow tint, that seems to exaggerate my under-eye bags! Also a bit pricey.

Brilliant product that saves on taking bulky glasses out when you just want to read a menu! Recommendation came from a friend and I’d happily recommend to anyone wanting a practical pair of glasses for a night out that fit in your pocket.

Loved them, used occasionally and perfect for taking out just incase - however the hinge just broke after 7 months for no reason - went through to support and warranty is 6 months! Feel a bit short changed!

Very slim glasses and case, yet feel very secure when on. Case seems hardwearing - one hinge pin did drop out but a pin with the shaft sl bent secured it brilliantly. Clarity of glasses good and they are as good as my prescription glasses. No more bulging pockets or broken glasses. Expensive for off the shelf readers but they do a job very well.

I can't believe the glasses fit into such a slim case - neither can anyone who sees them going away into it! They are perfect to carry around in my pocket all day every day - the case closes securely so it's never opened itself, and that means the odd time I'm out - shops / cafe / restaurant - and need my reading glasses, they are right there - no more squinting because I didn't want to carry a traditional, bulky, glasses case around.

It is too thin, which makes it look so weak, that it can broke any moment, it won't last long, and the second problem is that there is no possibility to return it

This is my second pair of ThinOptics glasses. These are very light and compact and the lens quality is excellent. I'm very happy with them and my wife has asked me to buy her a pair. A couple of things to note: 1) ThinOptics markets these as being able to be attached to the back of your smartphone. In reality, this isn't practical because the case is so big that it either exceeds the size of the smartphone or covers up the camera. These are really pocket or purse glasses. 2) The case is attractive and protects the glasses well. However, the case is a bit tricky to open because of the strong magnetic snap that keeps the case closed. I find myself fumbling around with it to get it open. As a result, they are not "fast" glasses that you can pop on your nose quickly. 3) While not uncomfortable, I would not use these these glasses for long periods as they are not the most comfortable reading glasses I have. They are great for shorter use periods.

I have a couple of pairs of these in case one breaks. I also have a ton of other cheaper reading glasses. All of them were causing indentations in my nose-- and, for some reason, the marks were red. I would look awful after wearing my glasses and I have to wear them for long periods of time when I work. Whenever choosing reading glasses, my criteria was the weight, really-- and lens quality of course. The lens quality on these are great-- Everything is completely clear, no blurriness, no fogginess or anything to interfere with vision. The weight? These are the only glasses I can wear for the whole day that DON'T cause indentations in my nose. I LOVE them. I've had them for over a month now, wear them daily and, when I take them off, there are no marks on my nose. I will only buy these from now on. Even if they break every two months, I'll buy another pair. I think the case is fantastic. I have it attached to my phone with the provided tape and find it very convenient. I used to lose my other reader all over the house and find myself in the kitchen when all the glasses were upstair, etc. Now I have these with me all the time. I haven't used another brand since I bought these.
