The RIDGID Model 101 Close Quarters Tubing Cutter performs exactly as expected. It’s easy to use, cuts cleanly, and had no issues even in tighter spaces. Solid build quality and a great tool overall.

This cutter works great... IF you do 2 things. First, make sure the PVC tube is centered in the rollers and not resting on the bottom of the tool where the adjustment screw housing is, or you will most likely crack the tube. Second, snug the blade against the tube and turn the knob no more than 3 half-turns. Run the cutter fully around the tube one time, then tighten the blade another half-turn (for a 1/2" tube) and run it around a second time. You will get clean cuts every time! I like the spare blade that comes with it, and while it's a bit boxy shaped you can do it one-handed.

Great functions and can cut bigger tubing then 1in 1/8. Great for the money

Just what I expected from Ridgid. Great tools, and calendars too. You will also find the extra cutting wheel secured by the screw that holds the knob on. Nice touch. Performed flawlessly on many cramped 3/4" copper tubing cuts in a floor space. Not rocket science but this quality little tool does its job well and built to last. And kudos to Amazon for getting it to me on the SAME day I ordered it. Amazing! FYI... I don't do these ratings often and paid full price for this tool. Would be even better if Ridgid gave a free calendar with it.

I could not find my copper pipe cutters in my storage container. I needed to cut some copper pipe to build an amateur radio squalo antenna. I was reluctant to purchase this small pipe cutter because years ago I purchased one like it and it was super hard to cut copper pipe. I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to cut pipe with this cutter. I had to cut over 10 pieces of 1/2 inch copper pipe and this tool got the job done and did it quite well. Best of all, it cut with no struggles on my end. Cuts through like cutting soft butter. Super clean cut too. You could put this in your pocket and your keychain would outweight it! Small and versatile. I highly recommend it.

Bought this to cut copper tubing for some projects, but as fate would have it... my transmission cooling lines sprung a leak. Since those lines are steel, I was apprehensive to use this tool. Good news is that it cut those lines without a whimper, allowing me to run a bypass. Impressive!
