Good for intermediate
I just needed it for my Chinese class. My teacher is Chinese and pointed out one mistake so far but it's still a pretty good book. Better for intermediate students to be honest. But I've been taking Chinese for a few years now.

Useful, but not always natural
I've been learning a lot. For the most part, the workbook is helpful and easy to use. In an effort to only use basic vocabulary, however, they sometimes ask us to put together sentences that are technically grammatically correct, but aren't at all what actual Chinese people say in real life. Sometimes when I ask my Chinese friends for help, they shake their head and tell me, "Well, it's not *wrong*, but we don't actually talk like that."

But it seems really complete and easy to understand
Just received it and i only browsed few pages. But it seems really complete and easy to understand. It had the audio mp3 disc. Delivery was fast and was shipped out directly from the publisher. I am sure i will enjoy learning chinese.

Book is well done but the cd only works on computer and can not be downloaded it used in other device. Essential for improving listening skills

The book was in very good condition. I did not mind some writing in book. It was interesting to see how another person had reacted to questions posed in the book. Be advised to get a good MP3 player (Bush Boombox.Amazon/Argos) to use the disc that comes with the book
