Horizon Industries Pump Motor Cover For Variable Speed Pool Pump Motor/Drive Cover

Arrived on schedule and exactly as advertised. I bought this item to cover my new Pentair Intelliflo VS 1.5. I did modify the top slightly to allow the cover to fit a little more forward over the pump by cutting a 2" notch to allow the pump output pipe to come through the cover and allowing the cover to move forward. Very nice PVC material about 1/4 thick. Worth the price to cover new expensive pump.

I ordered this product to protect my new $1,400 Pentair Intelliflo VS- VF pump from the torture of the SW Florida weather. I actually received the product 2days earlier than projected. I was very surprised at the sturdy materials that this cover is made of. It appears to be some sort of composite material very heavy with a bright white finish. Be aware that you might have to cut a channel for the pumps electrical conduit. This is easy to do if you measure correctly, I used a hack saw took about 10 minutes. Put over the pump fit perfectly. Cover fits flush on the concrete pad and butts up against the outlet plumbing that holds it in place. Be aware also when installing the cover that you spread the side a little to go over the 485 cable connection on the pump. There appears that there is plenty of ventilation for the pump. I have checked it several times and do not notice any overheating issues, I guess time will tell. As others have said you can screw it into the pad if you want but that seems to be stupid if you needed to remove for pump service. Overall I’m impressed with this cover so far. I do think the product is a bit over priced, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this product. Please see attached pictures of my install.

This item fit perfectly over our Pentair pool pump we had just purchased and installed. This cover feels very solid and keeps the mechanical portion of the pump shielded from the Florida sun and rain. Our previous pump (not Pentair) lasted about 7 years and at the end looked its age , very faded with rust. Even if this cover only lasts 4 years or so it will definitely be worth it.

This product is excellent as advertised. It is just way too overpriced for what it is. It fits well, is easy to modify and does the job it is supposed to do. Also, the materials seem to be basically waterproof while some similar products are wood or composite which will likely die far too quickly. But all that said, it is just too expensive for what it is. I'm glad I purchased it but if I had to do it again, I think I would look to make one before paying this price.

I also purchased this cover to protect the substantial investment that I made in a Pentair Intelliflo swimming pool pump. The cover is well made of what appears to be PVC and fits nicely over the motor and control unit of the pump. No cutting or alteration is necessary. I did not attach the cover to my concrete base pad because the cover must be removed for access to the electronic controls. The cover does seem to be heavy enough that I believe it will stay in place unattached even in high winds. As stated above, the cover is made of what appears to be a very white PVC material. Because my pump system is somewhat visible I took time to paint the cover with a high grade exterior latex paint to make it less apparent. Now it blends in with the surroundings and is more appealing to the eye. I am very pleased with the cover and feel that it will do a nice job of protecting my investment from the elements.

so far so good, the Texas sun beat up my last pump, I got a new pump, and this cover is keeping it look-in new. I'm sure the heat contributed to the prior motor's failure

Fits over motor perfectly and provides protection from the elements. Well werth the cost.
