This is a Morton Salt product. In the BBQ world a smoke ring is a sign that you treated/cooked the meat properly A smoke ring is created when the hemoglobin in a piece of meat is exposed to oxcides of nitrogen at 140 degrees. Tender Quick has the chemicals that will produce a great Smoke Ring. A fantastic product.

I use this product in brine for smoking Salmon and Chicken. It works well as a tenderizer for most meats

I use this at least once a year to teach my neighbors in Texas about the other use for a Brisket! Tender quick makes an intense brine, combined with brown sugar and garlic powder, that makes the absolute best corned beef imaginable!
