My TV has an HDMI port but no USB port. Would I still be able to use it? How would it get it's power?

I have one, it's from a Hitachi tv, somehow powers from the HDMI port on that tv, I haven't been able to get it to work on any other tv

Does the remote need to "see" the stick? If my HDMI port is on the back of the TV set, will I need a cable to put the stick in front?

The remote is a wi-fi remote. no line of sight needed. in addition, you can download the roku app onto your tablet/phone and use that as a remote as well.

Well there are several differences, you have the price of course. Then, the Roku 3 has an Ethernet port, the Stick doesn't. This means that if you don't have a proper Wi-Fi coverage you might want to go for the Roku 3. Also the Roku 3 is faster as its processor is more powerful. However, that doesn't make a difference at playback time as they both work amazing but it does make a difference when turning it on and loading apps (the Roku 3 will be faster). At last, the Roku 3 has a different remote (its remote has a motion sensor and a headphone jack), that's more intended like for gaming and those kind of things. In summary, if you have good Wi-Fi and don't need to listen to movies/shows with headphones you should go for the Roku Stick. It's half the price and does almost the same things.

Does roku have netflix built in? Or do i have to cast from my phone or computer to get netflix?
