Excellent buy!! Dont have to think twice...
Let me break my review by parts: 1. Size and Build: Heavy for its size! BUT, you know that heavier speakers are usually better than lighter ones.. and this statement is true in case of the S715i. Size is pretty chick - I was nervous when I first looked at the size of the package, but buried deep underneath, the S715i is extremely portable. No handle, but, you wont need it for its size... really! Build quality is VERY good for its price.. The mesh in the front has wider pores than my laptops speakers, so, its easy to blow dust away. The stand pops out from bottom on the Bluetooth version (has a button for that and locks it in when you close).. and its pretty sturdy as well. 2. Excellent Sound quality - nice bass and treble; Most other controls are left with the Mobile phone you are using. Not so great when playing at LOUD volume; but it is still music till about 80% of volume. Works for me since I dont expect to play it at a Disco ;) When it comes to filling my room with music, I am 100% satisfied. - I had doubts if the Bluetooth connection will keep the Audio quality at its peak and I must admit that I can`t tell the difference between running songs on USB vs on Bluetooth. No loss of quality while streaming music on Bluetooth that is.. 3. Ease of Use: VERY VERY VERY easy to use. Easy to pair with Android and Apple products. Just the On/Off, Bluetooth detect, and Volume up/down buttons on the player. I like it when I can control the rest of the things from my iPhone - Playlists, Equalizers etc... 4. Value for Money - TRUE value for money. I haven`t tried the BOSE Sound Dock so will refrain from comparing those 2 products. But, for 120 bucks, this is a truly portable, no-compromise, feature rich and EXCELLENT music player. Sometimes, I look at the player and wonder how it producing such loud volume..! Other petty things: It ran on battery for at least 4 hours. It is true that the volume and sound quality drop when you unplug from the power source, but, I can understand that the battery wouldn`t have produced the required bass. Necessary compromise for the portability, battery size and weight of the equipment. - Cannot really speak for the number of recharge cycles of the battery, but, it comforts me that this is the same battery that you find on most Cordless phones; So, the battery is easily available outside and it is easy for users to swap it by themselves. +1 for being repairable by End user. Who does this product best cater to? - If you are on the move and do not want a cluttered and space occupying Music player. Does not compare in sound quality with full fledged Music systems, but is very close. - If you are looking for your FIRST Sound dock and do not want to blow up 250 dollars on the Bose. Remember that the Bose Sounddock portable 2 does not offer playback on battery not Bluetooth connectivity. - If "GOOD Sound Quality", "Affordable" and "Value for Money" are all on your Must-have`s list....

Great product for the price
Bought this on a Gold Box deal based on the reviews. Let's be real, it's a small speaker set, and it's not going to change your life unless you've just emerged from a time machine arriving from before we had good stereo units. And in that case, is it really this little boombox that's the most impressive thing you've seen? On to the review... Sound: 4/5. The sound is full and has adequate low end, certainly better than some equivalent or slightly higher priced speakers. It doesn't create quite the wide soundstage that the Bose units do, but for the money it's a much better value. Aesthetics: 3/5. It's a little curvy, but not too much. Contemporary without being overly styled. It's not something you'd showcase, but it's not an eyesore either. It's reasonably sized as well, so you can tuck it on a shelf and out of the way. Functionality: 3/5. Pairing via bluetooth worked well with all of my devices. It's slightly annoying that if you have the 3.5 mm jack plugged in, it defaults to that source and you can't use a bluetooth source. This means you can't just leave the line plugged in to one source permanently and still use it for bluetooth streaming. It could also really benefit from even a rudimentary remote; it's great that it's bluetooth and it gets the audio stream over a magical wireless connection, but the fact that I have to walk up to it in order to turn it on takes away from that. Auto-connection, at least when plugged into power, would have helped create the illusion of cool. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, even in comparison to some other more expensive units... say, those that rhyme with "Toes" or "Bamjox".

Wow!
I've been looking for a portable speaker system for several months. Wasn't sure if I should go with AirPlay or not. Decided against it because of 1-cost and 2-listening environment. Most of my time with the speakers would be outside while brewing beer or working on the car (neither exactly audiophile conditions) so the increased fidelity at the increased cost made no sense. I'd been looking at this Logitech BT system for quite a while but the price kinda threw me. There were a couple other systems, both notably from Kickstarter, which were interesting and about the same outlay. Not being able to listen to them first or possibly return them later decided that for me in the negative. Along comes Amazon with this setup for $40 off the regular price AND they include a $50 MP3 credit? I was throwing my money at the monitor before I got to the bottom of the page. I've been using this for about 48 hours now and I am extremely impressed. It's debut was at a party over the weekend, playing and competing against a similar system in another room. While the decision on better music choices wavered between the two, the sound was unanimously in favor of the Logitech. The volume was loud enough to hold it's own against a room full of people dancing and singing to everything from ABBA to Zeppelin. On less than a full (6 hour) initial charge it kept playing for well over 3 hours at quite an elevated volume with no sign of pooping out. Pairing was extremely quick and painless as a variety of both Apple and Android devices took turns as the streaming content providers. Being able to remember up to 8 devices without re-pairing is huge, too. Size may be an issue for some but I find it difficult to find fault. To me the Boombox most resembles a not-quite-comically oversized LAN line phone handset, like those old wall-mount ones you'd find in the kitchen. It is quite light, the controls are dead-simple to use, and pairing to most devices took less than 2 seconds. The only con I can find is sound quality based on room placement. With two of the four passive sub radiators facing the rear placing the unit in a corner will dirty up the sound faster than a Brazilian mudslide. Best to leave it free in a room or possibly backed by a single wall. I guess the 6-hour battery life could be improved but I don't know how frequently I'm going to listen wirelessly for that long where plugging it in wouldn't be an option. I also find it difficult to ding it for missing features such as speakerphone capability, external device charging, or AM/FM tuner. Of those having a built-in radio would be the nicest, but the requisite antennae (be it power-cord or otherwise) would detract from it's usefulness and totability more than it would add in function. Pro's are definitely sound quality, portability, light weight, build quality, ease of use, and usefulness. So I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend it to friends.
