Collects Ultimate Comics Wolverine Vs. Hulk (2005) #1-6. Nick Fury thought he'd killed Bruce Banner, but he was wrong. Now he must get the job done right. Fury has a list of operatives at his disposal. But there's only one man to consider: Wolverine! Review: Awesome read - Loved it!!! Hulk vs Wolverine = enough said. Art work is fire. Instant classic. Great story, definitely worth the read. Review: Worth the wait... - So this title took FOREVER to finally complete, but it was worth it. The story isn't just a Wolverine vs. Hulk story that you would commonly think it is. It introduces a new She-Hulk into the Ultimate Universe, and as a whole is a pretty entertaining story. There are a few times I laughed out loud at things in it. The art is also very good. Ever since Lenil Yu was introduced to me, I loved his stuff. He makes the effort to make everyone look different, and his art is full of action. Some of it is "sketchy" at times, but its nothing to shake a finger at. The only thing about the art though is that the book took so long to complete, his art style changes a bit near the end of the book. It's not a drastic change by any means, but you can tell that by the time the book came out he found his groove. All in all its a really fun read and I would recommend it to anyone. You don't need to really have read any Ultimates books or Ultimate X-Men books before you pick this up either. If you know who the Hulk is and Wolverine, you are good to go. A HIGH 4 out of 5 for me.

An excellent outline for a Hulk/Wolverine movie.
I really enjoyed this comic book reprint. Since Fox owns the screen rights to the X-Men & all Marvel mutants and Marvel Studios owns the screen rights to Hulk, the Avengers, & everything else, we'll never see these characters on screen together. Reading this is like reading a movie story board for a movie that will never happen. The storyline was excellent and mixed a lot of action with sprinkles of Dark humor. The humor is what really worked for me. The 5th star I gave this story was for 2 reasons. 1, I got this during a Cyber Monday sale, so it was cheap. 2, I read each word balloon with the voices of the movie actors in my mind. (Ex. Sam L Jackson as Nick Fury, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, etc.) It was great affect.

A fun little distraction
Itโs nothing mind blowing, it does what it says on the tin: the Ultimate Universe's Wolverine and Hulk fighting each otherโฆ for the first Issue and a half more or less, after that it kinda devolves into a somewhat interesting dissection of Bruce and Betty's characters. Itโs not the greatest character work Iโve read, but considering it was written by one of the writers from Lost, I guess I should be thankful it was at least easy to follow, it does clash with Bettyโs characterization in the Ultimates books, but Iโd count that as a plus if anything and I do appreciate the little red herring that gets thrown out halfway through with her and Jen, while I saw it coming because of how itโs written and telegraphed, I can at least appreciate the fact they tried something new. Itโs also a fun showcase of Wolverine's character in a setting away from the X-Men, just again, nothing new and stuff that has been done in the mainline Universe a million times better, but itโs not heresy or anything. Leinil Francis Yu's art is as delightful as ever, no complaints there; even in his early days, his artwork is simply stunning, beautiful and carries a lot of weight to it. Genuinely one of the best highlights of this book. Overall, couldโve maybe been better, couldโve been way worse, but itโs a neat little forgotten piece of the old Ultimate Universe's history.

completely ridiculous and over the top... 5 STARS!!!
The headline kinda says it all, but to expound, great art, great story, great humor. This isn't just another knock down, drag out fight between Hulk and Wolverine, although there is plenty of that, but it's funny, smart, gorgeous and well written too. Send the Wolverine, a man with a morally gray conscience, questionable loyalty and a nasty temper, to kill a nearly indestructible, green devastation machine with an equally sour demeanor? What could go wrong with that?!?

Good in a dumb action movie way
Ultimate bulkhead believed dead by the world at large due to the events of ultimates 2. As the title of this collection would indicate, that death did not stick. So basically this story is just wolverines hunting banner down across the world, with some twists and turns thrown in. All in all it was a fun read, if abit scattershot at times. The ultimate universe also seems to be lacking shirt but to technology, as the women in this story seem to have trouble keeping their shirts on and covering their bras. Thats the only real issue I have with the art, and overall it's perfectly fine for the material. Overall this story is fine, it answers some hulk sized questions I had from ultimates 2.

Great
This is the first of Marvel`s Ultimate series that I've read, and I have to say that I enjoyed it thoroughly. The art was great, the writing was clever and fun, and I thought it was a great experience all around. You don't really need any previous knowledge of the characters or story line to enjoy it. It should definitely be mentioned that there are some very violent parts to this book, which I didn't have a problem with, but, if that's not for you, beware. Definitely not for younger readers. All in all, if you are looking for a quick dose of comic book fun regardless of your knowledge of Marvel continuity (and don't mind the violence), I strongly suggest this one.

Kindle edition review...
It is an awkward proposition to read comics on my kindle fire hd first gen. You'd think that the zoom mechanism for each panel helps, but it ends up cutting the art in less than ideal ways. I think it is a decent way to read comics when you can't get the paper based version for whatever reason. But I prefer paper. This book has very nice art and a good story match.
