does it scan laminated cards, like driver's license and health insurance cards

We do not usually scan laminated items but one of our scanning staff scanned their employee ID and sent it to me. The employee ID is about the same as a driver's license. Color scan was in very good detail.

Does this scanner scan barcodes?

not that I know of. I don't scan barcoded documents

What is the difference between document scanner and computer scanner between 6130 and 6140

The only important difference is that the 6140 has a SCSI connection while the 6130 does not. Originally we were told the 6130 did not have TWAIN compatibility but TWAIN works great on it.
