Simple, sturdy, comes in a bundle
I bought this as part of a bundle promotion with a hammock rear seat protector and door protectors from the same brand. The straps are made of a really heavy nylon and all the hardware seems solid. The clip works fine with seatbelts in a Toyota Tacoma. I like being able to roll the window all the way down and not worry about the dog jumping out. Worth the money IMO. Don't clip it to the collar, buy a harness!

Exactly what we needed

Solves two issues, but causes another one.
This is a really well made an sturdy item. It should only be used with a harness, NOT A COLLAR. The two problems that this product solves are (1) keeping your dog in the seat and anchored in case of a forward collision, and (2) keeping the seatbelt chime from playing continuously if you have a bigger dog. However, having the anchor point being at the dogs feet means that the dog can become tangled if they turn around in a circle. This can happen if you use the hook on the chest of your harness or on the back. So even though this product does exactly what it's supposed to do, I would not recommend it or any other products the function the same way. Instead, I now tie a leash around the headrest of the seat and clip it to the back hook of the harness. My dog now has more range of motion and cannot get wrapped up in the strap.

Great product but dog chewed through it in the backseat
Love the item. Nice buckles, adjustable, quality item. BUT my 70 lb Husky chewed through it in several places on his first trip in the car. Took less than an hour and a half. Buy a cable one if yours is a chewer.

Amazingly hooks into the seatbelt!
This is the most amazing thing for pet owners. Our sweet little Mia (Frenchie) was able to move around freely in the backseat for our four hour car ride. We didn’t have to worry about her because the lead was hooked in like you would the seatbelt.
