Worked great as a replacement for my Astro A10 headset, the sound comes through perfect and it has no problems telling where sound is coming from (left, right or behind) which is super important when playing games. The mute button works great, and still works with the headset so that you can have your mic on, but can still mute it by putting the mic in the upright position so you can use either method to mute your mic.

I bought this cable as a replacement for my A10's. The manufacturer website has the oem cable for 10 dollars plus shipping, but this one was only 8, what could go wrong? A lot apparently, The first thing I learned was the mute switch did not mute my conversation and the people I was playing with heard my side of a phone conversation. The second major problem was static coming from the mic line. Group members complained that it was loud static coming from me, and we decided I need to go without the headset till I get it figured out. I ordered the OEM cable and received it a few days later. I should have spent the extra 5 dollars and saved myself the aggravation. this is a strict Do Not Buy from me.

Rubber covering each connection falls off leaving transparent side red wire. Which I wouldn’t care about if it didn’t affect performance. Cable will cause loud static, echo and all audio drops in and out. Spend $10 on anything else. Lasts ~3months

Was able to use my Astro A40s for both my Xbox and PS4. Volume and mute controls very helpful, then just a standard jack.
