Works for the Wrangler JL also!
Bought this in hopes of it working for my somewhat unique situation. Upgraded to 37” tires and some Black Rhino Armory wheels that don’t allow the normal stock third brake light to work since there’s only the one hole for the camera. I was able to snap off the end of this brake light and solder it to the factory JL plug and it works great. Super bright and very happy with it since its so small it goes away other than when the brake is depressed. Also the rubber grommet works inside a lug nut hole.

NO CAMERA REQUIRED for this to work
Exactly what I needed and I did not need instructions but some people might.... these have got to be the worst instructions I've ever seen. It looked like they were printed in the 1980s with the cheapest printing machine oh, I could not tell what the pictures were, whether I was looking at a tire or a door LOL they were that bad that's why I only gave it four stars. I do not have The Back-up Camera and mount for this so I ran it up through the wheel and used some double-sided sticky tape on my spare tire because the factory third brake light doesn't cover a 37 inch spare tire. This is a much better solution. Take a small Phillips screwdriver and unscrew 2 screws and the LED light comes out of the metal casing, the LED light is waterproof. Run the new light through the spare tire rim and get some double-sided sticky tape and tape it to the rim. This light is not noticeable, perfect for what I needed..... I did forget to mention the installation part. There is 2 connectors on the jeep jk, I think some people are having issues because they are trying to connect it to the first one but that is the wrong one, the correct one is inside the tailgate. Open the little plastic vent on the inside of tailgate and you'll see the one needed to remove and install this. PERFECT FIT and get compliments almost daily

Exactly what you expect
This is exactly what I needed. Easy to hook up and mount to my Brandmotion backup camera, and bright. Like... Insanely bright. These tiny LEDs are brighter than my regular brake lights, and those bulbs were replaced with LEDs too. Low profile enough that it is barely noticeable while off.

Plug does not work on a 2017 Wrangler
This was not plug and play for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Had to cut the supplied plug off.

Nice option for 3rd brake light
I added this to my camera and mount after getting larger tires and a heavy duty tire carrier. The install was fast and easy and it works great....Highly recommend this 3rd brake light as an addition to the brand motion backup camera system.
