Mineralize SkinFinish Natural - Medium

This has quickly become my absolute go-to product! The powder glides on smoothly without tugging or pilling, and it feels so lightweight on the skin. It gives a seamless, natural finish. It stays put all day long. I’ve worn it through work, errands, and even humid Florida days, and it holds up beautifully with minimal touch-ups.

LOVE LOVE LOVE and definitely love not having to make the trip to the store. I’ve used this same powder for the past 10 years and plan to keep doing so. If you have oily skin, this has always worked well for me.

I used to purchase this regularly from a consule at Nordstom, but moved to an area where there are no MAC stores. This powder works well for my combination skin and has a medium coverage. I like the fact that it doesn't clog my pores and looks more natural than other powder foundations I've tried. It is a bit expensive, but I think it is worth it.

I love this skinfinish powder! I have tried similar "mineral" makeup powders (Bare Minerals, Mary Kay, etc) and was never fully satisfied with those. I like that this is a pressed powder, and find I have more control with application. I use a concealer brush to apply powder to any blemishes, and then use a MAC face brush (like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Cosmetics-Small-Fibre-Brush-Makeup/) to evenly apply the powder all over my face. It provides great coverage, and you can layer more if you need more coverage. I absolutely love it!

I bought a MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Natural Medium from seller "VEPAL" on Jan 16th 2012. Upon arrival, I suspected the item was FAKE because the texture was of really poor quality and even had a crack in it. I paid $21.99 + free shipping from Amazon for an item that full price was $29. I checked the box and even compared it to some photos of the same product online, but it looked just the same. I did not want to pay to send it back since I knew I was not going to be reimbursed or even worst, the original shipping charges would have been deducted from my refund, so I let it go. However, ever since I used the MMSF I bought from VEPAL, my face started acting weird and breaking out so bad that I stopped using it. Almost 2 months and 3 weeks later, I bought the same product from Nordstrom and upon inspection I confirmed my initial suspects that the one I got from seller VEPAL was FAKE. It looks just like the real deal; even the box is identical; however, the MAC Logo in the MMSF container is thinner and the sticker on the back has a yellow tone instead of silver/grey. Of course it is too late to return it and even if I could, as suggested by the seller (VEPAL), I will lose both shipping charges (the initial and return ship charges) that will come up to $15 approximately. I regret not paying attention to some of the previous complaints this seller has about selling FAKE MAC products, but to tell the truth, the information left by dissatisfied customers like me was covered up pretty well by the seller's replies emphasizing that he DOES sell AUTHENTIC MAC products, and I fell for that. After I left a feedback to warn other customers on April 4th 2012, I got the following email from the seller: " Hi xxxx..I apologize if you're not 100% satisfied with the MAC Skinfinish you purchased from me. You may contact Amazon and request a refund since it was shipped from Amazon. Thanks and have a nice day! Judy - Vepal " As it has been done before, the seller's reply to my feedback for this purchase is trying to discredit me by saying: "Seller Response: My MAC is authentic but it could be this is a competitor who doesn't like the competition or wanting a refund after she used the product for 4 months. I asked her to contact Amazon to request a refund if she is not 100% satisfied, no response. Thanks - Vepal Date: April 4, 2012" To begin with, I am pretty sure the seller left the feedback's reply right after sending me the email if not before and if he does the math, I did not use his FAKE MAC product for 4 months. Unfortunately, it took me more than 2 months to realize I had fallen for this type of SCAM. I truly believe that sellers like "VEPAL" are hiding behind Amazon's unfriendly return policy to steal from trustworthy customers like myself. I do hope this review would help other customers to avoid been deceived by unscrupulous sellers such as "VEPAL" and please remember most of the time if it is too good to be truth IT USUALLY IS.
