Males, Nails, Sample Sales: Everything a Woman Must Know to be Smarter, Savvier, Saner, Sooner [Pierson, Stephanie] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Males, Nails, Sample Sales: Everything a Woman Must Know to be Smarter, Savvier, Saner, Sooner Review: First book of it's kind that I actually finished - I love books such as these, and I own quite a few of them. That being said, I've finished only a small handful. This book was quick moving and to the point, and was what so many books of its kind *try* to be. I think the reason this one works is because it was written by a woman above the age of 40 who can HONESTLY say, "Been there, done that, and here's what to do and what not to do." I never once felt that the author had to go to an expert for advice or filler-content, which I think says something. It's an honest perspective from a woman who has been in the trenches. Review: Waste of time and money - This "book" is a waste of time and money, serving up worn and re-hashed commentary. There is nothing here that a casual perusal of several glossy magazines would not yield. Moreover, while Ms. Pierson deplores the overuse of exclamation points, her text would be deleted were her use of italics eliminated! There are errors throughout the book, making it a sloppy read. As one example, in the section providing phonetic translation of phrases from English to other languages, the Hebrew translation of "do you speak English?" is phonetically translated as "do you speak Hebrew?"

Live-saving laughs!
This is mandatory reading. NO woman should EVER be allowed to enter into a relationship, take a new job, furnish her home, plan a party, shop for clothes, contemplate a vacation or raise children until she has this hilarious gem on hand. I just ordered a whole pile of them to give to ALL the women in my life -- especially my adult daughters while they're still young enough to avoid their mother's mistakes. I plan to give these books as stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, engagement and bridal shower gifts, and "just because" gifts to any woman with a good sense of humor and a great desire not to screw things up.

funny...a light read
the author was funny...this book relates to someone late 20s to late 30s...people trying to "find themselves." not too much "important" information...it's like reading a long version of blueprint without the pictures and from only one perspective. an fun read for a plane or a rainy weekend :)

A Martyr to Us All!
I wonder if this book was written by Ms. Pierson because she had to learn the hard way, and didn't want us to. I envy the elegance, and aplomb with which she handles unpleasant situations. In reading this book, we can only hope to become the sophisticate that Ms. Pierson is! Her wonderful sense of humor keeps this book "real," and not prissy.

super fun for savvy women
I loved the style and quickness of this guide for women to modern, urban life. It made me laugh out loud and also was very informative and useful. I bought it for several woman friends for both reasons: to laugh and to learn. I highly reccomend it as a gift to every woman you know!
