I regularly eat this rice, not just in sushi! This rice is my favourite rice and it's great for eating with curry, chilli and all sorts of other meals that require rice. It's cheaper than the store and is delivered on time! I have a rice cooker and it cooks this rice perfectly. Great value for money.

I ordered this as an add-on item because my local grocery store doesn't carry sushi rice. Its really good, but its a bit of a process to make. However, if you are wanting to make your own sushi, its worth it. Its an hour long process, from rinsing, to soaking, to cooking, and finally allowing it to steam in the pot after moving it off the burner for 10 minutes. I made it ahead of time and sat it to the side to cool. I made the 4-6 serving option, which made enough for 3 large rolls. I probably still have enough rice for 2 or 3 more meals like this. I didn't add any seasoning to it, but next time I think I will add a little salt when its time to cook. It is very bland without seasoning and I don't add a whole lot to my rolls.

I love this rice, it cooks really fast with minimal fuss: 60g rice + 250ml water in a saucepan, bring to the boil and simmer until the water is gone (about 10 mins), that’s it. It’s really sticky rice, which is exactly what I wanted. You can make it a bit less sticky by scooping the starch from the surface of the water while it’s cooking - it’ll still be nice and sticky with all the grains of rice plumped up and no mushy gloopy messes. Honestly it seems foolproof to me. Generally reasonably priced and reassuringly organic, from a brand I buy lots of cooking ingredients from. This has become a regular purchase for me, just wish I’d tried it sooner!

Perfect sushi rice!

The rice is really good but do not follow the packet instructions you end up making congee/rice pudding(with water). 1 rice to 1.2 water is better for sushi rice (not the 1:4 ratio the packet says!!!)... This is instructions for lid on saucepan just to clarify. If using a rice cooker check instruction manual.
