Cheap yet Functional
Edited from initial review. Bought this for $5 to replace my old mouse. With the design, the mouse is a little short, maybe half the height of most mice so it doesnt curve into the palm of your hand like most mice do, which is perfect for me btw. Might take a while to get used to. The model feels cheap. Came in an unmarked box, in bubblewrap- no company logo or manual. Cheap like 'if I drop this it will break' cheap, but in my experience its pretty sturdy. Dropped it a few times without any issues or rattling internal parts. However, you may be concerned with the quality control. I have an issue where the battery pops out when I place the battery cover on. A little glue and paper fixed this; but this may point to the mouse not being made/tested properly. However for the very low price I believe you can buy another if there are any problems. The mouse works on all surfaces; my bed, wood, granite, the couch, Im yet to find where it doesnt work; which is very good. The two CPI options are great; normal is usable but I find fast is perfect for my FPS games and regular stuff. Wireless receiver is tiny and fits in the mouse when not in use; and the mouse automatically switches itself off when idle and will reactivate when clicked. The Range is far; as far as I can read my laptop screen from, which is good; seems to work through walls, wooden ones anyway. Overall, this is a fantastic mouse for the price, and if you're looking for a flat cheap mouse thats worth much more that $5, buy this. Note: I do have the one with the red laser light; and have no major issues with the mouse so far. There are times where the buttons may not register; but very VERY rarely occurs and will not affect you unless you play multiplayer FPS where every click counts.

Most excellent mouse for the money!
I love this squat little mouse. It's hand size, fits nicely to my hand. Buttons are accessible and positioned well for a left or right hander. I use a right handed mouse with my left hand and everything is within easy reach of my fingers - no relearning. Scroll works smoothly. The signal reaches just about anywhere it needs to from desktop to dongle. I don't see any difference when i press the "CPI" button but i rarely do any fine line placement in hand drawn pictures or do any gaming where placement requires a fine touch. It is a highly functional mouse that turns itself off and comes alive at the press of a button. It doesn't inconvenience me by turning off in the middle of doing something with it. And when i'm done, the switch is convenient to turn off over night or over the weekend. It's here at work with me, where i'm testing it every work day - i use a computer a large portion of every day for my job. This mouse works very well. The only down side is the wait to receive it was pretty long, but still arrived well ahead of the scheduled arrival date (it shouldn't be here yet!). I think this is a great investment for the money. It they charged a little more and shipped it quicker, it might be a good trade off.

As of July 2011 still shipping RED laser/LED version not blue to midwest
I really like the feel of this mouse, and it is slim enough it fits well into my laptop case. It claims a battery life of six months (one AA), and it does go into power save mode within a few minutes of no use. It comes back to life, and brings power back to my laptop with just one click of the left mouse button. My only complaint is that, at least to the midwest, they are shipping the RED LED version (older model) not the blue. I bought one of these, and the package was somewhat torn up. Since it was not a blue optical light like advertised, I ordered a second one to see if I would get a blue optical light model. The blue light model works on more surfaces. The second one came with the packaging still intact; but it too was Red not Blue. I like it enough that I am planning to keep the 2nd one. Although I wanted the blue optical light model, this works well on my wooden desk, and even on my pant leg or the recliner armrest if I am checking email while relaxing in front of the TV. I see the price has gone up $2 over the last week. Maybe that means you will actually get a blue one. I did report the discrepancy to Amazon Customer Service and they said they would fix it . . . ? So, who knows for sure. Either way, I like this better than a similar Logitech one I have at work. The small nano receiver connected up to my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version in under one minute. I suspect the person who complained that the nano receiver was cheap and did not work with any of their USB ports probably has an older XP laptop with outdated USB-2 drivers because I also tried this on a 5 year old Vista Home basic laptop and it instlled in less than a minute also. With trying this mouse on both laptops I have put the nano receiver in and out of USB slots several times with no problems. I tried USB ports on both sides of my laptop to see which side I wanted to leave the nano receiver in. At work, the Logitech wireless mice only last about 6 months. This feels at least as well made and is half the price. Even if you get stuck with a red optical light, I believe you will like this mouse. All the best to you.

2.4G Nano Wireless Blue Optical/light Mouse Set with Dpi Switch Black (800-1200 DPI)
2.4G Nano Wireless Blue Optical/light Mouse Set with Dpi Switch Black (800-1200 DPI Sold by: HottestDealEver Corp (HDE) I just received the mouse via USPS today (09/03/2011), so I'll update this as time progresses. Out of the package, I popped in one "AA" battery (new), plugged the mini nano receiver into my Windows 7 laptop and it was up and running in 60 seconds or less. It moves smoothly as far as I can see, and the scroll movement appears to be smooth as well. I did notice however that the optical light is red and NOT blue as stated in the description (I've contacted Amazon concerning this). It also does feel quite cheap, which does have me a bit concerned, but I'll see how it works from here on out. Another thing, which to be honest, I know nothing about. The item description mentions a "DPI switch", whereas the button on the mouse is labeled "CPI". Not sure what it's supposed to do, but I've pressed the button and see absolutely no difference whatsoever. There's also nothing to indicate when the button has been pressed (ie; no sound, no light etc). I'll update this in a few weeks once I get adjusted to using it as it is quite a different shape than I am used to. UPDATE (09/03/2011) I received a number of responses from Amazon concerning the issue regarding the optical light which the item description says is blue, to which I received a red one. They were kind enough to allow me to place a second order through another seller with one-day shipping, which they offered to waive shipping costs due to the bad experience. So while the mouse I did receive does seem to work, I would suggest buying from another seller as the one I purchased from (HDE) IS NOT shipping the same item as in the description. UPDATE (09/07/2011) I placed the order on 09/03/2011 for the same item from BLUE POWER, which I received today. A couple things I noticed right out of the package were 1) the DPI/CPI button on top of the first mouse I was sent (with red optical light) had white lettering, this one did not as the letters were embossed 2) although they looked almost identical, the replacement felt better made, and lastly 3) the on/off switch on the bottom was a different color as well as had on/off marked on it (the first one did not). As with the first one, I plugged it into my laptop and it was ready to go in under 60 seconds. This one however did have the blue optical mouse light, and appeared to work much more smoothly than the first one I ordered, as well as it had a much better response. Unfortunately after only a few hours it began to lag significantly as if the battery were dying. Since it was the same battery I had used in my previous mouse, I put the rechargeable battery in I typically use. This didn't resolve the issue, so I tried a brand new battery out of the package, which also didn't resolve the issue. By the time I tried several batteries it was clear that was not the culprit as the mouse quit working altogether. I've since contacted Amazon yet again as this is now two versions of the same mouse from two different sellers that I've had issues with. In the meantime I'm having to use the first one I ordered (with the red optical light) which serves its purpose, however, I would much rather have the one with the blue optical light in working condition as I noticed a significant difference between the two. UPDATE 09/12/2011 Amazon has since contacted me and stated I could place a THIRD order for the item through another seller, however, after seeing the other sellers had worse "seller reviews", I decided not to attempt this product any further. I am still using the original mouse (with red optical light), which will temporarily serve its purpose until I can find something better. In the meantime the mouse is kind of a pain as I've discovered if it's turned off via the switch on the bottom, you have to fiddle with it for ten minutes to get it to turn back on. My advice, spend more, buy better, and save yourself all these headaches. Wish I would have before, but I certainly will now as this one gets ZERO OUT OF FIVE STARS.

Get Great Products Cheap - If you're Patient!
Initially I did not remember that I ordered an item shipped from Hong Kong. I was concerned when a couple of weeks passed. I looked up my purchase and once I realized the situation I just let it go. It was only $5.. I do wish they would include a statement of lengthy delivery (indicated): not for my sake but for theirs. I was able to quickly realize the situation and I accepted it. Fortunately I have previously received products, through Amazon, from the mainland. It also took awhile but were excellent. I believe, like the high finance industry, uncertainty is treacherous to the high paced consumer industry. Let people know, even the downside facts, and if some complain the rest of us will tell them they were forewarned. Due to the price structure: I don't have a problem with "no tracking capability." But indicating the true delivery time may help some buyers accept the tradeoff for extremely low costs; some people refuse to accept situations like: very little cost = significant increase in time. Delivery will take a very long time. So what. Be patient. If you desperately need a mouse; it is understandable. Order a different one. But then order this one as a spare at least. I will be ordering more for spares at other workstations and I'm talking about my home not business. The little tiny usb receiver did NOT have the little bit of red on the receiver as shown in the image presented. I am an American I will sue. Americans must get their way at all times. Excellent product even at a higher price. Buy now. But be patient. $5., come on 5 bucks! yes it works well and has a range of about 8 - 10 ft. depending on other electromagnetism devices in area (motors are the worse for interference)(but powerful speakers can also interfere)(of course other radio signal (output) devices can also cause interference.

You get exactly what you paid for ... sometimes a little less
It's 2013. Why don't I have a flying car? And why do I still have to pay $20 for a decent wireless mouse? I'm not sure, but it's the truth. After using this for two days the frustrations are apparent: every fifteen minutes or so it goes on the fritz for about twenty seconds and doesn't work correctly. Then it's fine for then next fifteen minutes. If you need a super cheap wireless mouse and don't mind that it doesn't work correctly all the time then buy all means, purchase this one. It is cheap, and wireless. If, however, you want something that will work correctly all the time, I'd recommend you spend a little more and get one of the cheap wireless mouses from Logitech or Microsoft. UPDATE*************** I've had this mouse for a couple of months and figured it out, so now I'm used to it's quirks and I actually kind of like it. First off, it doesn't have much range. Just make sure you plug the dongle in to the same side of the laptop as the mouse will be on. In my case, I was plugging the dongle into the left and using the mouse on the right. This caused connection issues, but once I stuck the dongle on the same side of the mouse those problems disappeared. So if this is for a laptop, it'll work fine. If you're plugging it in to a computer under your desk or something it'll still cause problems. Second, if you don't touch it for a while it'll turn off. Just press down on both mouse buttons and it'll come back up after a few seconds. I'm giving it one more star since it works well now that I know the quirks and it's super cheap. The main advice remains, though: only buy this mouth if you understand the quirks and are OK with them.

Works as good as higher priced / name brand
Bought this mouse last October and it still works great. It is nothing fancy - just the 2-button/middle scroll basic wireless mouse. I've found no cons, so I'll list what I like about it: 1. Yes, it "feels" lighter and cheaper than higher-priced wireless mice, but this thing has been kicked around in my laptop case (usually smashed between books), thrown at the wall by my 2-yr old, and generally not treated very well. It's still in one piece and working as well as the first day I got it. 2. Flatter design - some people like a curved rise to a mouse - I have small hands so I like the flatter design because my wrist doesn't feel like it's being bent at an awkward, uncomfortable angle. 3. Rubber grip - not a key selling point for me but it is a nice "extra." 4. "Off" switch - I didn't remember to turn it off at first, and within a month I had to replace the battery. Now that I remember to turn it off, I haven't replaced the battery again yet (3 months and counting). 5. Very friendly plug & play, and receiver is tiny and unobtrusive.

... occasions I plug my laptop into my TV towatch movies I can't access via my PS3
I bought this mouse for the few occasions I plug my laptop into my TV to watch movies I can't access via my PS3. As a result I've only used it a handful of times, but I haven't had any problems with it. I was wary buying the mouse due to others' problems with the red-laser version, but mine has the red laser and it works just fine. The mouse is pretty lightweight, which does give it a cheap feel, but considering I paid $6 for it, I can't really complain. It has a very solid, satisfying "click", though! Works great from across my living room, as well as right next to my laptop. The USB plug fits a little snugly into my laptop, making it slightly difficult to remove, but it's not frustrating and perhaps with more use will become easier to insert and remove. The auto-off function is useful to preserve the battery and wakes up effortlessly, and the "plug-and-play" aspect is really convenient and time-saving. Overall, the mouse looks nice, feels nice, does its job, and fits my budget!

FLAWLESS! Doubles as a POWERPOINT remote clicker.
For: Brilliantly built, comfortable. Flawless performance. Against - not a single thing. SUMMARY outstanding value. DETAILS Slimline USB Mouse with wireless dongle Runs on a single AA battery On/Off Switch If left on AUTO powers off after a few minutes inactivity Re-activates upon a single quick Emits blue tracking beam/light Scroll wheel CPI Button SET-UP On arrival the dongle is discretely housed in a groove on the bottom side. Windows 7 laptop discovered, installed and working within seconds. WORKING The device is barely deeper than the barrel of the AA battery inside it. I'll get around a year of life out of rechargeable battery on a single charge. It is exceptionally functional, highly ergonomic with a soft-feel surface to the button faces. The dongle is discrete and barely protrudes so no obstruction. Most important of all it is exceptionally accurate as a desktop pointing device. PRESENTATION CLICKER - I have tested this unit activating POWERPOINT presentations remotely from a distance of 12m (line of sight with the dongle), and it performed brilliantly. You could easily spend £70 buying a proper remote clicker! I'll be buying more of these. Fully recommended, without hesitation. FOOTNOTE ON DESIGN VARIANTS - It is worth remembering the unit that I have is FLAT BLACK with GREEN TRIM from the main product page. This particular listing has dozens of variations based upon the same basic theme. It is therefore possible - especially if you have one of the numerous novelty styled alternatives offered - that you are looking at/buying something slightly different from mine.

Not perfect, but pretty good.
I purchased this for myself after having replaced a few too many cable mouses (cats and cables are sworn enemies in our house) chewed through. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a mouse, having replaced so many and wanted something compact. These wireless mouses tend to be big and bulky in my previous purchasing experience, and I have quite small hands and always find them really overpowering. Having read the other reviews I felt the size would be ideal for me and it did look quite flat. It is about the size of a credit card and varies from between approx 2 - 2.5cm in width. It does get a bit thicker in the area where your palm is. The scroll works well. It takes 2 AAA batteries (not included) and when mine arrived the small usb connector was placed inside the bottom of the mouse. There is an on / off button on the bottom of the mouse. There are a few negatives, it came from outside the country so it took a little while to arrive. Also its not really really good quality. It works well for general office work I do on my computer. I don't think it ideal if you have to be a little precise with what you are controlling. There is nothing on the bottom of the mouse to help it glide along the surface, so you are just moving an item around on its plastic bottom. It works well for what I am doing and I am happy with it, although I do not expect it to last a long time. Also if I was using this for photoshop work I don't think I would like it as much. If you just need a cheap wireless mouse and its not urgent, this is idea for you.

Práctico y barato
Es el segundo que compro. El anterior se rompió tras caer al suelo. No es muy resistente pero si muy práctico y plano para utilizar con un portátil. Por el precio que tiene merece la pena.
