Perfect replacement for an M24E solenoid
As the title says, this is a perfect replacement for an M24E solenoid on my 20+ year old Weathermatic valve. Installation couldn’t be easier. Shut off the water valve feeding the valve in question, disconnect the wires, unscrew the old solenoid, screw in the new, remake the connections, turn water back on. The resistance of my old solenoid was just a few ohms. The new solenoid measured about 40. Works perfectly.

Slightly different then the original S20P
This solenoid is slightly different that the original S20P (it does not say S20P on the part). As others have noted, I could not tighten it properly into my sprinkler valve as it would "skip", almost like there was not enough thread. I ended up taking of the little rubber gasket that's on the thread to allow for more thread to be available and have used some thread tape instead. This way I was able to actually tighten it enough and it's not leaking, so I think I'm good. Other than that, it works. Hope this helps.
