I bought this dot laser to provide tool positioning information when turning blind bores on a wood lathe. A printed bracket from a 3D printer was used to mount it and the 5V power supply was obtained from a redundant USB cable connected to an outlet on a work lamp. The distance from the laser to the work piece is about 300 mm. The price is fair and I also have a spare !

These are useless, small red LED with a lense that projects a red dot about 2cmThe only remotly laser thing about these is the knock off laser sticker

have mounted one of these on diy cnc machine and use it for calibrating x and y axis home and movement. works well off 3xAA batteries. sharpness of cross dependent on height from surface, but easy to adjust using twist lens cap. small enough not to get in the way. a good buy
