Works really well!
I am so glad I discovered this soap, it's perfect for deep cleaning and restoring oil paint brushes. It does a really good job of getting oil paint out of the brush and then you can leave some of the soap on the bristles and reshape the brush and restore it. It has a pleasant smell and honestly makes cleaning brushes kinda fun. This stuff has saved me so much money by restoring some of my expensive synthetic brushes which had been bent out of shape and now are flat and straight again. It's the best clean up tool Ive found for oil painting definitely recommend it.

Perfect Brush Cleaner
I finally started using this and I simply love it! I try never to throw brushes out because I feel I can always find a use for them. I just cleaned such old brushes that I felt this product would never clean them and much to my surprise it got out old ancient dried out paint! I’ll be able to put those old brushes back into use. Thank you!

awesome
i originally bought this to clean my brushes that i use on acrylic paint to do art on rocks. but i later discover that i can also use it to clean the brushes that i used to paint my house. works fantastic. I no longer have to discard my house paint brushes. once i wash them, i let them dry a bit and then i dip them on the solution, then i wipe the brush sideways on an old rag or old towel. i clean the excess and stored them moist in the solution. the same thing i do with my acrylic paint brushes. wash them with warm water 1st, then using an old towel or rag, slide them sideways making the brush take the original shape. applying a little bit of pressure, not too much so you wont damage the bristles. it may take a few times until there is no longer paint left on the towel and the brush is clean. store the brushes moist almost dry.i used it on natural and nylon bristles. i was even able to repair some of the old brushes that they had dry paint on it. I am very happy with this product.

Best studio soap!
I've only ever used this brand so I can't compare to anything else but I've always gotten my brushes, hands and anything else I've tried to clean with this clean after painting with acrylics. It doesn't smell bad and it feels soft on your skin. Leaves your brushes very clean.

Best product available for cleaning and conditioning your artist brushes. I have also used it to clean an unsealed pine table. It did a fabulous job.

Is this different ?
I have loved this product for years and and am so bummed the price is being raised so significantly for the larger size . I’ve noticed a separation of ingredients if it sits for a long period which I don’t usually do , but have been trying other things in the mean time knowing what usually costed me 18 is now over $30 . As is and from this seller the product is excellent , but overall product review , I don’t know if the ingredients have changed or what is different other then the price and my using it slower , but my usual five star review is being decreased to four . I truly hope this product calls for an updated review as it used to be my favorite of all times , except the da Vinci bar . 😜 the second picture was left over from a 32 ounce one , and it’s completely liquid . The first pick the layers of darker brown are what causes the liquid in the second picture I presume , as it’s the same color .... no water was added , Nothing was done differently to use the second picture once .. definitely in a hurry up and use it soon before it turns into liquid I really hope it doesn’t Swilley was fabulous products all the way around for your hands for your paint brushes I hope it returns to its original fabulousness .

Works Great to Clean My Oil Painting Brushes
I like this soap to clean and condition my oil painting brushes. I start with Lavender Brush Cleaner, then use Turpenoid Natural, rinse with hot water, and then condition my brushes with this Linseed Studio Soap. This routine keeps my brushes looking and feeling like new, and the smell is nice.
