8 QED Screwloc Forte Gold Plated 4mm Banana Plugs for Speakers and Amplifiers (4 Red 4 Black)

Excellent connection to the speaker wire and gives a solid feel to the amp.

I bought these along with 30m of QED 79 Strand speaker cable. These plugs are a perfect fit for the QED cable, the two fixings screws make it easy to make a good connection, and the plugs themselves are nice and secure for both my amplifier and my speakers. I've also been impressed with the difference in sound quality compared to my previous cable and no-name plugs, I feel that the combination of the QED speaker cable with these high quality and secure plugs has definitely improved the sound from my speakers. Highly recommended.

Not had time to fit them yet but look a good quality product.

Well designed product, with double screw lock that secures wires.Simple to install, with secure clean connection. Wires no longer exposed. Used to connect speaker cable to a AV AMP. Sound quality is not reduced. Very happy. Maybe a little expensive, but no regrets.

QED gold plated 4mm banana plugs are awesome quality. I been using this particular banana plugs for over 7years, they perform well. Does change colour like the cheap banana plugs. Well done QLD always makes great quality products.

My wife knocked one of my speakers off the TV stand which tore the cable from the speaker and damaged the plug, so I needed a stronger replacement. These have 2 screws instead of one to secure the wire and other reviewers described them as having a secure tight fit. Perfect, I thought. These are 4mm my previous plugs are 4mm. My previous plugs fit, but these don’t. The problem for me is, there’s a thick wire that runs most of the length of the plug, which I thought would act like a spring, securing the plug once fitted. This wire doesn’t move, no matter how forceful I am. I even tried squeezing it down with a pair of pliers, but it just sprang loose. I’ve been able to pry the wire out of the plug with a screwdriver, which gives a better fit, but it’s still more loose than my original plugs, so for now I’ve had to secure them with duct tape until I can find another set of plugs. They feel really sturdy and are very well made. Clearly no one else has had an issue with them, it must just be something about my speakers. Still, it’s something for future potential buyers to be aware of, especially if you too have a set of Wharfdale DX-2 5.1 speakers.

These are the solid little plugs with great fit and good design. The two screws are easy to secure.
