Nickel-Plated Steel Clip Top Frameless Cam-mounting Plate (Pack of 5)

I'm new to cabinet making, but glad I decided to use Blum hardware. They have extensive options and great technical support and resources to help you select the correct product. I used these mounting plates for my softclose 32 mm hinges. These plates simplify door alignment by allowing simple screwdriver adjustments of vertical alignment.

Be sure to loosen the adjustment screw prior to installing these or you may not be able to turn the screw. Once loosened they work well.

No issues, Blum quality says it all.

I could not get the cam screws on these to budge even a hair. I tried several phillips screwdriver sizes and none worked. I gave up and drove to a local cabinet maker shop to buy the basic slotted mounting plates that I used previously. I asked why I couldn't get these cam-style plates to move and was told I need to use a "Pozidriv" screwdriver. He brought one out and started to adjust the cam on my mounting plate. I bought one for about $9.00 and I'm back in business! SO. To all of you with "stuck" cam adjustment screws, using a regular phillips screwdriver is futile. Buy the Blum No. 625 TBI PZ 2x100 driver and you will have no problems. A previous reviewer stated these cam adjusters needed to be moved prior to installation with the "correct driver" but he did NOT mention exactly what that driver was (jerk). Good luck.

Vertical adjustment does not work

Ignore reviews that say the adjustment screws don't work. You MUST free the screws with correct driver before fitting the bracket. Then they work perfectly every time. I've fitted scores of these. Blum are the best currently on the market.

These are superior to the pressed steel mounting plates, and look much better too

Initially bought new hinges for a cupboard door that wouldn't close properly, however I then found that the new (Blum) hinges wouldn't fit the old hinge plates and the new hinges didn't come with hinge plates so had to buy these. According to the Amazon description the screw holes need to be 37mm in from the edge of the cabinet. There's not a lot of space inside a kitchen cabinet so I wasn't 100% confident in marking two holes at exactly 37mm and the exact distance apart, so also bought a cabinet hinge jig (also on Amazon and cheap so highly recommended) which had the holes marked at 37mm. Marked the holes using a hand rotary tool, drilled them out and the plates fitted fine. Had further problems with the hinges themselves but that's another story. Once fitted the door clipped on the these hinge plates nicely.
