What are the needles made from?

There are no markings on the needles, nor information on or in the box to indicate what the metal is. I can only tell you that I accidentally snapped the end off one while using needlenose pliers without too much force. But, the needles with handle (as well as extra needles) worked well for my felting needs and all fits in the convenient plastic box to keep the needles safe, and away from busy fingers that might accidentally reach into my yarn bag and get poked!
