The photos in this edition are black and white. The use of nitrous oxide as a chemical supercharger has been extremely popular since the 80s, and technology advancements have been making it easier and safer to work with it ever since. Author Bob McClurg reviews the latest and greatest advancements in engineering and readily available equipment for adding liquid power to any engine. He discusses the often-mystical subject of nitrous oxide injection systems with a level head and a clear purpose. This book educates on the properties of nitrous oxide and most-effective way to design, install, and tune complete systems. A definite focus on safety and a need to answer the typical questions associated with the use of nitrous oxide is highlighted, and several complete installations are featured. McClurg's vast experience brings authority to the pages, and he worked extensively with many of the pioneers of nitrous oxide injection systems to deliver a comprehensive review of what it takes to choose, install, and tune a system for the best-possible performance. Review: Great book. - Great book for the more experienced. Gets more in depth in tuning and diagnostics. Lacking in the engine building section where you need to know about ring gaps so you don't tear the ring lands out of the pistons. Review: Good to have - Whether you have been running night just for years or you are brand new to the game or you're not quite familiar with the modern technology this book is got enough information in it to at least point you in the right directions simple easy to understand and makes a lot of common sense definitely one to have around even though you probably only read it once or twice

All of the nitrous companies claims are pretty much the same
The author Bob McClurg is the guru, there are others that claim to be guru's however Bob sells his knowledge in a book that you can refer back to as you go, if you are going to use nitrous, gain as much info as you can "before" pushing the button. All of the nitrous companies claims are pretty much the same, it is not a matter of the HP number they spray, it is about having your combination ready for the Hit. Great Book!

Better of you know absolutely nothing
Of the book series (s-a design) this is been the worst read yet. It feels more like someone that's trying to impress with part numbers and the ways things used to be done. Most of it is about carburators and showing different instillations. History is good to know but this is excessive considering the lack of information in other areas. It would be nice to have expanding ratios, mixing ratings, flow ratings etc etc. Really didn't teach me much at all.

Multiple installations drive home the flexibility of Nitrous.
Covers multiple installations and does a good job of overview. I learned a lot.
