Worth every penny
I’ve been using Bohning’s Ferry-L-Tite Cool Flex hot melt glue for several months now on my carbon arrows, and it’s become my go-to every time. This stuff makes gluing in arrow tips (both field points and broadheads) incredibly easy. It melts quickly and evenly at a relatively low temperature, so you don’t have to worry about damaging your shafts. The flow is perfect — not too runny, not too thick — and it sets up fast once you seat the insert. Cleanup is a breeze too. Most importantly, the hold is rock-solid. I’ve put hundreds of shots through these arrows — everything from target practice to 3D courses and even some hunting — and not a single tip has loosened or come out. No spinning issues, no wobble, just consistent performance shot after shot. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality hot melt for your arrows, this is it. Bohning nailed it with the Cool Flex formula. Highly recommend!

Cool flex enabled a new sturdy life out of old chisel head
Did not know this was a thing - cool find. Utilized to bond an old chisel head to a new cedar handle that sanded from a branch. Have used a few times and has held bond without issue. Unknown how would hold up to torque motion since this is a chisel...but I'd be willing to try. Must keep the package for the guidance on heating and resetting. Application went well by using a portable propane torch to heat the metal chisel and the cool flex melted right in the female fitting. (Of course I had dry-fit the cedar handle to ensure fit, first). Held the new handle in place for half a minute to allow cool down and bonding and, abra cadbra - a revised chisel. I would recommend this cool-flex product.

This stuff is the best.
This is my favorite insert glue. Holds very strong but you don't have to destroy carbon shafts if you need to remove or adjust an insert. Other glues either just don't hold or they require you to use extreme temps to remove the inserts, which is fine for aluminum but dangerous for carbon shafts, which is all I shoot! I've lost inserts and collars to foam targets using other glues, but I haven't lost any while using this stuff! It seems to stay softer than other glues, which I believe helps it retain its stickiness as well. And the blue color makes it easier to see the coverage you're getting on the insert. The clear or amber stuff doesn't do as good of a job staying visible on the shiny insert.

Excellent hot melt for carbon arrows
This is an excellent low temp hot melt glue. Previously I was using another brand of hot melt and while I was removing some points I noticed how hot I needed to get the point before I could remove it - which can damage carbon arrows. The Bohning 1308 melts at a much lower temperature making it a lot easier to install and remove points and there is no difference in holding strength that I have seen so far. Good stuff and the price is very right !!

Good but not for all applications
Like it for using on threads of field points and broad heads but tried it on inserts and it did not hold, insert pulled out of my carbon arrow when I pulled it from a bag target. I do not secure my nocks so my only use for it is with threads on points and for that it works very well

The best!
Great product from the only name in the archery hot-melt business! I’ve used regular Fer-L-tite for decades and rarely a failure, but this low temp version is great for carbon and aluminum arrow inserts! I use the regular version for wood arrows only. DONT USE HI TEMP ULTRA FAST CURING SUPER GLUE TYPE PRODUCTS FOR CARBON ARROW INSERTS! I learned that the hard way. It requires too much heat and will ruin the shaft trying to extract that stuff. This is the BEST CHOICE!

Easy to use and holds strong
I used this hot melt for the first time because I wanted to experiment with different arrow weights. It was easy to use with just a lighter to heat the insert and melt the glue. I also easily removed an insert by heating a field point and pulling it out with pliers. Since building a dozen new arrows (Easton Axis 5mm w/brass inserts), I have shot each hundreds of times with no issues. I will continue to use this method over epoxy.

I love this stuff for building arrows!
Great quality glue and provides a great hold for glueing arrow inserts. The glue isn't too sticky and is super durable. The price was a good value for this!

passt
