This met my needs better than expected. Used to empty 55 gallon barrels of rain water into small buckets for watering until a spigot can be installed. Easy to use with minimal effort.

I ordered this and 2 Bay Tec 15 galloon barrels to replace an older 20 gallon barrel we use for camping that i accidently punched a hole in. The item came on time, the pick up tube was too long, but this was to be expected, since the description says it works on up to 55 gallon barrels. After confirming the pump worked using a pail of water, I measured and cut it to length. When I attempted to install it, the threaded part was way to small to screw in the barrel. I wasn't really happy about this, checked the listings on both items and confirmed it SHOULD fit. I had actually posted a review calling this item a POS when for whatever reason I decided to remove the other plug. Guess what? Item fits like a dream. Luckily, I am able to revise my review before it posted I gave it 4 stars because I think it could be made out of thicker material, but may revise my review after I use it on our next trip, in a couple of weeks

I needed a pump for the 55 gallon water tank in my greenhouse. I started out with a hand operated pump with a crank handle. The pump did not fit the opening in the barrel. I also discovered that the pump was not meant for drinking water. Since I am raising hydroponic vegetables, I needed a food grade pump. The Tera Pump meets that requirement and was much easier to set up. I love this pump!

A great little pump. So efficient. Just a few pumps and the water flows beautifully. So much better than the $5 cheaper one that looks similar... The cheaper one is a piece of junk.

Came on time. Took out of box and attached to my water barrel. About 5 pumps and it was flowing. Didn’t measure but I would estimate 5 gallons per minute easy. Solid inner tube so suction will stay at bottom of barrel. Nice length outer tube with small clip to hang when not in use. Since my barrel is outside I will not leave on and only install when needed. This is for emergency use only. FYI I have a drain value at the bottom and during a respect emergency I realized it was too slow which is why I ordered this. Also, as mentioned in other review, this did not fit the first bung hole I tried, there are two on both of my barrels and it fits one on each. Second thing, since it is a solid pipe if I want to use on my 33 gallon barrel I will have to order an second and shorten the pipe. Not a problem as I like the solid pipe to ensure draining to the bottom. Very happy with purchase and would buy again.

I purchased this because the Tractor Supply barrel is listed as 2 inches, and this says that it fits a standard 2 inch opening. It its inside but it's too small so while the pump is functional, you're not going to be able to thread it in and leave it there. A bit disappointed by that, but like I said the pump itself works and that's the most important part.
