Yotsuba&!, Vol. 9 (Volume 9)

Easily my favorite manga. Adorable, hilarious, and a blast from start to finish. Absolutely recommend starting from the beginning, as jokes build off one another, and each following volume assumes you know everything that's happened up until that point.

To be honest, there's not much substantial to say here. The premise of this manga hasn't changed -- it's still following the adventures of young girl Yotsuba Koiwai -- and it's just as charming as ever. This is a great manga for all ages, and although I'd advise starting at the beginning, you wouldn't lose much starting here in the middle.

Yotsuba is the perfect pick me up for gloomy days. The story is simple and sweet and the characters are lovely.

Yotsuba is a manga about about a little five year old girl named Yotsuba Koiwai. Who is as curious as she is cute and adorable. in this volume she makes schedules and gets a teddy bear or as she calls them berry gair just brings back memories of this fans childhood dreams and wonder at the world around him at that age. closing note this is definitely a manga for all ages because the main character and the other cast members would or might remind some one of a person they knew or know that acts just like one of the cast members.

As a long time fan of the Yotsuba series, the stories have always been delivered at a very consistent high level. I don't know how Kiyohiko Azuma does it, but he really captures the experiences of childhood very well. The story is not full of action, nor is it a tearjerker at all, but you always feel a bit better after reading a few pages or an entire volume of this series. I've in the past, to make room culled my manga collection down, but a hard and fast rule about my collection is no matter what, the Yotsuba volumes will not be leaving my collection, no matter what. Any other series is fair game. I can grab any of the 9 current volumes and read and that day will be just a little bit brighter due to the wonder at life that Yotsuba experiences.

Always up to some silly hijinks. Can't get enough of it, honestly. I hope Yotsuba keeps going. Keeps growing. Keeps on being Yotsuba.

I ordered this book upon request from my son. It took a few weeks as I believe it came from Japan or China but it did arrive within the timeframe stated in the delivery notification. He was very happy to receive it. English language book.
