Not for novices, but awesome otherwise!
This phone is awesome, I LOVE IT!! I use it with my company's Shoretel/Mitel phone system but I also buy them all the time for Asterisk-based systems because there are TWO different firmware images available and with the SIP firmware, it'll provision with the same Aastra(Mitel) 6800 provisioning files, which means you can provision them with FreePBX as well! The two firmware images are MiNET or SIP, the first is for Mitel/Shortel and MiCloud, the second (SIP) is for every other system including RingCentral. Since these arrived with the MiNET firmware, I'd bet most people don't know you need to download the SIP firmware and flash them to work with that service. If you're that type of person, who also probably complains about it not having a power supply (IP Phones aren't supposed to have power supplies!) then I doubt you know how to use these. Definitely intended for IT types. If you DO understand IP Telephony, then this is the phone you want! Absolutely LOVE THEM!!

Doesn't work with RingCentral
I provisioned numerous Mitel model phones (not the 6940) on the RingCentral network. When I tried this 6940, it seems to provision, but never works after trying to assign a user to it. I tried various things including factory reset, assisted provisioning, manual provisioning, and worked with tech support at RingCentral. Never got it to work, so I am returning it for a refund. I don't believe I am doing anything wrong since the process of provisioning Mitel phones is laid out clearly in RingCentral instructions, I worked directly with their support team, and the process worked with all of the Mitel phones on their approved models list except for this one device.

Nice display
I bought this for my home use. Had problems with getting the handset to function. Make sure that you adjust any settings prior to connecting to your business network. Once you do that, you lose the ability to control your own phone at all. Including the bluetooth.

No power adapter
Received the phone today. I can't really test it because there's no power adapter. The add says nothing about what is in the box or whether the power cable and adapter have to be purchased separately. Sort of burns my A- -, if you know what I mean.

Wouldn't configure
Never had so much trouble with a VoIP phone. Don't buy these trash phones. Amazon doesn't stand behind them even thought they come filled with their Amazon Renewed flyers. Stay far away.

Dead on arrival
Screen had dead pixels running down one side and had to be returned. Noted much for QC process as phone was dirty and had to be cleaned before we found it not working
