For the last few years we have been living on a 1976, 44ft trawler. So there is a never ending list of things to repair. This unit here works great. Installation was easy. It's super quiet in comparison to the old unit. I'm going to get another one for the front shower.Make sure it is installed level. The auto off doesn't like being tilted.

Spend your money somewhere else. The pump failed in less than a month after installation. The pump float switch doesn't turn on the unit reliably so the sump overflows and floods wherever you have it installed. The plastic tabs on the lid cracked and broke off while removing the lid.Honestly, this unit is garbage. Don't waste your time with it and get a more reliable unit. I received a refund from Amazon, but need to rip this out and install a new one and will definitely be putting in a different brand/unit.

Amazingly well made and well-designed for the money. Cycles quickly but that is the only small complaint.. Sealed removable cover has snap latches so no need for a screwdriver. Far better than the Johnson unit it replaced for half the cost.

Mounted it into the engine room but it didn't work. The water didn't drain into the unit. I finally realized that the shower drain is very low, just about 1/2" above the bilge bottom. Since the inlets of the sump pump are raised, the hose ended up about 1/2" above the shower drain. So no water flow. I drilled a hole into the lowest point of the unit and epoxy'd a hose barb into it. The hose is now almost at the bilge bottom and water drains. Once the water started draining, the unit worked just fine.

I have always purchase rule sumps, this product is number one in my book. Price and easy pop off top for cleaning are great. Very happy would recommend to my boating friend for sure

This is the second unit I purchased. The float switch ( automatic ) sticks. I have angled the box to every position I could, still does not shut off.

Replaced an old shower sump. The new one worked great immediately.
