The notes are exactly the level I was looking for and do a great job at describing the cultural context of a particular verse, other verses to refer to for the same theme, and even alternate translations of a particular word. As a rather literal translation of ancient Biblical texts this is so useful, and the ESV translation captures the poetry and beauty, but doesn't always make for light reading. Great quality, superb notes
The faux leather backing is sturdy yet flexible and this Bible lays flat great. The notes are exactly the level I was looking for and do a great job at describing the cultural context of a particular verse, other verses to refer to for the same theme, and even alternate translations of a particular word. As a rather literal translation of ancient Biblical texts this is so useful, and the ESV translation captures the poetry and beauty, but doesn't always make for light reading. Wasn’t impressed with the cover, but inside is good
Felt the cover was a bit flimsy on this. Looked better quality in the picture. Feels a bit thin. Text is a good size and easy to read. Pages inside are fine. Only slight issue is the quality of the cover.

Missing verse
It’s a good study Bible but lacks Matthew 17: 21 But this kind of demons are removed by fasting and prayer.
