Is it very loud?

It is not as loud as a vaccum cleaner but it has a similar low pitch vaccum roar.  I guess it would depend on the area you set it up on.  I have it setup on a kitchen counter top under some cabinets so it does not absorb the sound well and I will say if noise bothers you and your looking for a silent running dryer this would not be a good choice for you.  It does a very good job however

Cant i just use a dehydrater and get the same results?

The tumbler cleans thebrassI am not sure what you do first, but this drier is amazing.  It generally will do pistol brass in an hour 200 to 300.  Rifle brass with necking takes longer such as 223.  The trays have sides to keep the brass from falling out.  I use the companion tumbler which is awesome.  Although the brass is not as polished as with the vibrating tumbler with media, it is clean as new especially the primer pockets.  No matter how you clean them the dehydrater isthe only way to dry.

Are additional trays available???  If so, what is the part # for ordering?

I love my Frankford brass dryer.  I do not know if there are additional trays that you can order for it.  I have never needed additional trays.  I just fill it, run it, then refill it again.

What is the inside diameter...and depth?

Inside depth is about 6.6 inches but the useable space to hold brass is about 5 inches - 1 inch deep in 5 stackable trays.
You can choose how many trays you configure each time you use it.
Internal diameter is 13.1 inches but there is a 1.8 inch diameter center hole through each tray used as a core.
It holds a lot of brass.   I load 200 rounds of 6.5mm Creedmoor brass or .308 brass and use about 1/2 the available space on 4 trays.
