Tootsie Flavor Roll: 5LBS

Like evereyone else on the face of the Earth, I'm baffled why these have the vanilla flavor included; it's by far the worst flavor in the pack and it makes no sense as part of a fruit-flavored collection. It's been like that for decades, though. *Decades,* people. Nobody should be surprised that a specific mix that's been sold since what, the late 70s?, hasn't changed a bit. I just pick 'em out and put them in a separate bowl. You can always pawn them off on the kids or something. As for this particular product as shown in this particular listing: the bag arrived with a slight tear, but it didn't affect quality at all. Every one of the candies is pillow soft, fresh tasting and smelling, and properly wrapped. I've bought a few of the fruit tootsie roll mixes over the years, and this one is by far in the best condition of them. The ratios of the flavors are fairly even. Pros: - You're getting five pounds of candy! - The quality is high and packed with care Meh: - Almost a pound of that candy you bought is the mediocre vanilla flavor - The relatively even ratio between the flavors means that you get too many vanilla and not enough lime - Pricing has been steadily increasing for the last few years. A month rarely goes by without a price hike on these. Cons: - It contains vanilla - It doesn't have twice as much lime as any other flavor - You now own 5 pounds of candy and it's hard to keep your hands off of it

These are the Tootsie Roll fruit flavored chews. Love these things! Very happy with purchase.

Exactly as advertised. These are the real things...Tootsie Fruit Chews in five flavors, cherry, lime, lemon, orange, and vanilla and a very nice mixture. Comes in a clear plastic bag which is not resealable, so I transferred them to a sealable bag. They were delivered nice and fresh in a timely manner. I would have given five stars except that I feel that a resealable bag is a must for a bag of candy this large in order to maintain freshness. Also...they are advertised as 5 pounds and I weighed them and the reading was 4.8. No big deal, but there you have it. Great flavors! I will order again.

For the child inside of all of us...who doesn't need FIVE POUNDS of flavored Tootsie Rolls? My lifelong problem of having to purchase the "Child's Play" bag of candy every Halloween just to pick these out was solved when I discovered you can just buy the flavored Tootsie Roll Chews. Not only that, but I pretty much have a lifetime supply of them at hand as well. I know I should probably want to share, but I keep them hidden away and I'm estimating this will last me a few years. These are delicious, fruity, and hit the after-dinner sweet craving I have almost every night. I'm not the biggest fan of the "vanilla" flavor, but having them in the bag is a small price to pay compared to having 1,000 chocolate Tootsie Rolls in all different sizes in the bag. Two thumbs way up.

I received this bag of candy as a replacement product. My usual was unavailable. Same candy except this bag does not have the three bonus flavors (grape, blue raspberry, and green apple).
