i used one of these 20 years ago made by ideal. it was a good tool but often broke the blade and was hard to adjust correctly. I use this everyday on everything from 3c to 19c . I have yet to have it strip pass the outer jacket and ruin the wire. This tool is made with quality considering its plastic. I purchased this for several of my coworkers who all were impressed with its performance.

Please don't dick around with a utility knife to cut heavy cable sheathing…use this tool.Cranks around the cable like a tubing cutter around copper pipe. Works great with very little effort and no nicking the cables.

Sharp and dose the trick!

These are a helpful tool to have handy especially if you have a thick multiconductor cable. I had about 200' of 8/3 that these didn't have a problem cutting through. The included 'hawk bill' knife works nice for surgically cutting away the jacket but the wedge stripper really works nicely. The only complaint I have is that the adjustment knob at the bottom is a little hard to use but other than that, these work greate.

I have model No. 4 - 28 H. There are 3 issues with this product. One of these issues is an injury hazard.Issue 1. Blade height adjustment:There are 2 knobs at the base of the tool. The red knob adjusts the small blade (not the hook blade). The trouble with this design is that fine adjustments of the blade height for a given type of cut (radial or length-wise) isn't possible because as the red knob adjusts the blade height it simultaneously changes the blade direction (thus the type of cut). So the red knob must be turned in half circle increments to adjust the height for a given type of cut resulting in coarse height adjustment. Having separate blade height and direction controls would allow fine height adjustment for both types of cut.Issue 2. The other knob has no obvious function.:The other knob is the large blue knob labeled open and close. This knob can be turned to either position, but it seems to do nothing. The instructions for this tool are not complete.Issue 3. The hook blade is very dangerous: with or without its protective cover: Since the thumb operated cable clamp has a very stiff spring, it is easy to lose control of the tool when clamping a large cable causing the hook blade cover to come off and the hook blade to be driven nto the user's hand. This happened to me resulting in an ER visit and several sutures to close the wound.The hook blade should be a completely separate tool.

Raz, ca marche bien et cela parait solide

I use a lot of Hi-Tuff and bought this last year to see if it might make life easier when working with cheaper cable. Not sure why I didn't know about these before then, but it makes life much easier.One small drawback I'd highlight about this particular stripper is the adjustment screw, which protrudes quite a bit and can adjust itself while bouncing about in a leg pocket. I notice that some other brands don't protrude quite so much, but it's a minor niggle.

Scharf und stabil. Gutes Messer zum abmanteln von Kabeln. Großes Plus ist die Rändelschraube für's Innenmesser. Das Verstellen ist so um einiges schneller. Bei meinem alten musste man die Innenklinge noch mit einem Schraubendreher verstellen.Ein guter Allrounder für alle üblichen Kabeldurchmesser zum fairen Preis.

Kalın kablolar için çok iyi çalışıyor, ancak ayarlaması çok ergonomik ve hızlı değil. Birçok farklı kablo için kullanmak istediğinizde hem epey vakit kaybı, hem de bıçak yönelimini yanlış ayarlama riski var. Üstündeki kablo kesimi için konulmuş açık bıçak da kullanım sırasında epey tehlike yaratabilir gibi duruyor. Kısaca eldivenli birisinin birçok aynı tür kalın kabloyu hazırlaması için daha uygun.

屋外用LANケーブルの長い外被剥きに使い便利だった。20センチ程度なら引っこ抜けば良いけど５ｍともなると抜けない。刃の向きを回して変えてキューっとひっぱり外被に刃が入れば後はケーブルと外被を分けて引っ張ればするする外被が剥けちゃいます。さすがドイツ製ってこともあり作りはしっかりしてます。
