The journal has a faux suede feeling to it. It is very sturdy and the papers inside do not tear too easily in my opinion. You do get a lot of great stuff to start a “bullet/dotted” journal with especially for a beginner such as myself. It has a clear plastic protector page in front and a suede-like pocket in back that isn’t very flexible in my amateur opinion. The pens do not bleed through with normal writing and light coloring but if you’re like me and really “abuse” paper, it will bleed. You may need to put a napkin between the pages if you don’t want to ruin your next page. It will still bleed to the back but it will also bleed onto the other front page too so I recommend either scrap paper or a paper towel between pages. You could also use crayon or colored pencil in order to color and that would suffice. I’ve been using crayon although I have an awesome set of colored pencils i just haven’t broken them out yet. I’m colorblind so my scratch test in the photos has question marks because I’m guessing those are the colors. If I could suggest anything to the company it would be to have the color names on the side of the pens somewhere. I love to color but I can’t figure them all out. I’m not monochromatic colorblind but I struggle with brown, red, green, gold, blue, purple and gray primarily. And it would be so cool if pen companies could consider us in the future and label their pens like crayon companies label crayons. I know crayon companies do it for kids but colorblind people never have the “option” to truly learn the colors the way color sighted folks do. Anyway I digress. This beautiful journal inspires my creativity. I love the texture of the bonder and the feel of the paper. The included black ink pen is blah. Just not my type at all. But the included black fineline pen is pretty good. Not the best but I have some really great black pens in the home anyway. Also this journal has a pen loop so even if you don’t use it for the included pen you can put your own pen in it and never have to search around for a pen when you want to get down to business. I would definitely recommend for newbies and this makes a great gift for a creative person who loves to journal or write.

I've never tried bullet journaling before but quarantine has me bored at home most of the time so I thought I'd give it a shot. First off everything is well packaged. It was like opening a ton of presents on Christmas and there was SO MUCH stuff included. The stuff that is included is high quality. They even included stencils that would actually be useful in a bullet journal! The journal itself is very sturdy and has a little place to put your pen of choice. I like that it's not only a binder style journal with removable pages but the pages are perforated as well. For someone who doesnt fill notebooks for fear of committing to a design, this takes that away completely. I can just take out a page when I dont like it without ruining the book. The price is very good for everything that you get which includes a full set of colored pens and so many cool stickers.

This journal exceeded my expectations! The binder is sturdy, with a soft suede texture and great color. The paper is good quality. Sharpe bleeds through to the other side but highlighter and the included pens do not bleed. The fine tip pens are smooth with a variety of colors. The other materials are great and have a nice variety as well. I chose this journal over others because I liked that it wasn't a bound book. I can add pages, move them around as needed, and remove them if I make a mistake. I also wanted the additional supplies to get started with bullet journaling and sketch noting. Great product. Excellent value!

Nice starter kit. Good amount of stuff to get a person well on their way to bullet journaling. My only issues were that the inner pocket is kinda horrible, there is no band to hold it closed, and it doesn't hold much beyond the included paper without becoming hard to work with. But they are all minor issues, and easily remedied. The binder is sturdy, feels nice in my hands, the paper holds up well to various ink without bleed through (usually), and there isn't much ghosting. And the accessories are great to start with! I fell in love with the glue tape. I mean I didn't even know it existed and it's amazing!

After learning about bullet journals, I wanted to create my own without spending a fortune because I didn't know if I would stick with it. I also wanted a binder format so I could move pages around as I refined the set-up that worked for me. This kit allowed me to do just that. The cover is a beautiful teal blue and a nice texture. It's showing a little wear on the corners after carrying it around with me for two months, but I still get compliments about my journal all the time. The pens are perfect because I have a variety of colors to play with. The paper is better quality than I expected. The ruler is flexible enough to move from day to day without breaking. I don't really use the stickers, stencils or washi tape because that's not really my thing and the scissors are cheap. But I still got much more than I expected for the price. It's a great little kit!

I just started bullet journaling, I wasn't sure what I'd need so I thought a kit was a good place to start. This has the essentials and I haven't had any quality issues. I'm sure you can get better quality but the paper is nice and sturdy. The pages are perforated so if you're just starting, you can easily remove your mistakes. So far a page bled when I used an alcohol based art marker, otherwise no bleeding. It also comes in a cardboard box to store your supplies.

The black pen came broken and would not click and work. The contents were scrambled, not wrapped together like I thought they might be.

This kit comes in a cute little box with everything to get started. The selection is great- and since this will be my first bullet journal- I was very surprised and just opening the box and seeing all the goodies makes me motivated and excited! I can't wait to get using this!
